[Suggestion] New SG Kits

How any times do people need to suggest this? Never hadls got approved the first million times suggested and won't ever in the future

 

Since Survival Games are based off of the Hunger Games (the books), having a kit, or kit+, is like having a sponsor. From how the books go, the more sponsors you have, the better stuff you can get in the arena, like weapons, medicine or food. Stuff that can save your life... stuff that earns you the win. The kits as they are, are just fine.

 

Most of the non-kit users don't purchase the kits out of sheer laziness and not wanting to work their @$$es off to get the kits...
I have one kit and TBH it sucks, but I still live with it and I'm working my @$$ off to get another one.

 

Arenas without kits or kits taken away in general will never happen. There are users who have every single SG kit and have spent a large sum of money on them. From a legal perspective, it's fairly impossible to create a fair trade or refund to EVERY SINGLE USER that bought a kit. The creation of non-kit arenas would also draw users from the kit arenas, making kit sales go down in the meantime.

The best suggestion I can give you is to save up 90k and purchase a kit. You can't change the rules because you don't have something that everybody else does, you just gotta work to get one yourself!

 

Guess this topic has evolved into one that has become as sensitive as politics and religion. As it is based on ones personal preference, opinion of entitlement and belief system.

Perhaps we should respect each others opinions and most importantly respect the way Andrew runs this server. In most aspects the server addresses my personal needs when it comes to Minecraft and the way I want to play the game. As with any public platform, you can keep most the people happy, but never all the people at any one time.

Now as with the OP's initial posting it was a simple suggestion, perhaps discussed before, but only a suggestion none the less voiced on this public platform. If not possible (nothing is impossible) but perhaps more logistically not viable, then so be it, I'm sure we can all move on without this becoming a flame session.

Those who buy kits for their advantage, help the server and themselves. Those who would rather use their hard earned funds (real money of server currency) on other aspects of the game, and feel disadvantaged in SG, need not be branded as lazy, but rather have a choice to make and accept those choices, I have.

 

I never said that. It's easily possible. But if it's something beneficial to the server and to its users is still uncertain.

If you are tired of losing survival games to people with kits them buy some yourself. Stop being cheap and vote for the server if you vote everyday that is enough to purchase a kit in what? Five weeks of doing nothing. If you want to get one even faster you could try something called "farming". Stop flaming on kits that people have spent their own money to buy just because you do not wish to spend yours.

 

Also, to put what i said into perspective,

Did you complain when they came out with melon swords? You didnt have one, but other people did, and they were OP.

How about eff7 picks? I don't see anyone wanting to bump eff7.

Oh, what about lottery? Some people win 5mil with 1k. Did you complain about this?

No. So why complain about kits? What makes them different?

Now your saying you don't want kits because you don't want to rearrange ur inven... You know you really don't have to use /kit, right??

@James4747 I understand that you are passionate about this suggestion, but you need to keep the discussion polite and calm. At the moment, this is heading towards a flame war which will result in the suggestion locked regardless of if it has or doesn't have merits. So, I would ask EVERYONE involved to argue the merits and problems with the suggestion calmly.

I will from now on be keeping an eye on this thread. I expect to not see any further issues with this situation.
