Great Idea! I hate having to stop what I do to get food. Also I hate having to sacrifice my potaters for food. I would buy.

 

While it would be a nice feature. We already have a food market that helps the player economy and encourages voting. I don't think we need to take away from though things by including a work around.

 

Still would be nice to have it. You can use netherstars on other things from voting

 

this is a good idea indeed, however, there is players like me that just walk around half dead and starving because i know that i will never die of starvation. now if they would make it so that you can starve to death then yes this would be a great idea.

+1 to this idea. /feed command is already in essentials so this could either be it's own stand alone donation feature or be included in ext commands

 

I like it. Not sure I'd use it, but I think it'd be a good edition to our donation features: it's convenient, it's not over-powered, and there's demand for it.

How many experienced players do you see trading their nether stars for food? How many new players are going to donate for a /feed command over and above the many, many other (far more useful) commands on offer? The only people buying this are likely to be those with a plethora of donations already. And I don't know about other people, but I've never even seen the food market. Ever. I don't even have the foggiest idea of where it even is.

 

I would simply suggest a slowed down hunger, not stopping the hunger altogether.
slow it down by 2-3 times and you save a lot of food.

You act as if there is a 50% tax on donations or something similar, the server would still make plenty with $10 donations.

 

Lets see if there was a 50% tax, then for a 15 dollar donation it would be 7.5.If im correct the server costs from 500-700 a month? you would need less than 100 people to donate just for a 15 dollar donation. Now if it was 10 dollar donation, after tax would be 5 dollars. That would mean there would need about 120 people to donate for a 10 dollar donation to get 600 dollars for the server.

You missed my point. $10 donations are still worth it, even after tax. The tax can't be that high. Plenty of other servers, many larger than ecc (yes, ecc isn't the only server), manage with $10 donations. It would be nice if someone can show an exact breakdown of the tax on a $10 donation.

 

but there are a lot more plugins on this server, and the new "firewall" that andrewkm just installed he said was about 300$ a month

If you have fly, you don't really need food.

 

Either that, or for extcommands+, there could be /feed, but you can only use it every 30 mins
