-1. remember how much nstars changed with two more votes? they dropped a fair amount. now, if you double the amount of diamonds, and all other ores, by resetting every 2 weeks or so, there won't be any money to be made from any ores whatsoever. if i could downvote more than once, i would.

Now hold on here. Halving the time it takes to reset doesn't mean twice as much gets mined. People aren't going to mine a lot more, because people still find plenty of good shit during the latter few weeks before the mining reset. And even if they didn't, it doesn't mean people will mine twice as much. Not to mention the fact that most of what gets mined gets sold to the server anyway.

I run a first row shop and can assure you that this is a nonissue. The fact is diamonds (and really any other mining world materials) already have next to no market. You can't hurt something if it's already basically dead.

Like kuke said, nstars have gone up since then. They also decreased only by like $50 per nstar initially. That's ~10%. You literally can't reduce the market value of diamonds by 10% because that would drop it below $25.

More resets = more ores mined = more diamonds and other things = more things sold = more money in the economy = more people have money = ruining hardcore economy!

 

as opposed to people farming or SGing instead? It doesn't actually have a significant impact on the economy. People will already be making money, regardless of whether the mining world resets or not.

 

Yes, but in comparison, I believe that mining is the highest source of income on the server

 

we could try it once, and see what happens. push comes to shove, we'd skip the next reset or something
