I am for the idea of showing highest ratings, but as has been mentioned... It would create problems. We already have some problems with people buying / "scamming" / tricking and spamming for ratings. Having a leaderboard/highest ratings and/or raters would cause even more of these issues (or cause issues of going through lots of posts, rating, and spamming users with notifications). Highest ratings and/or raters should be something sortable like letters/names, join date/last activity date, posts, etc. An actual leaderboard or top ## may just bring unneeded drama and issues. (Although, I would really like it, I would also like less harassment and rule breaking.) However, if there could be a box/section like the top posters, but it shows random users with their ratings (given or received), I think that would be neat. Not sure if that is possible, though.
I don't mind this idea. I want to be a 2000 poster by the time of my 2nd year. Also since I got back I gained like 250 posts so that would be like 250 in 3 weeks or something. So not bad. I should be done in 2-3 months.
