Actually in the disclaimer it gives the server the right to remove or change features. But I agree these should not be reset.

Incorrect, are you paying or donating? Donating is giving your money for nothing in return, nor is anyone required to give you anything for a donation. Though it would be extremely rude to do so, Phys has every right to do so. They gave the money to that person, therefore, they're not stealing the money.
knears is right. The reason almost every game with a real money shop calls buying items "donations" is because that way they can't get sued if something happens. Gifts and donations don't fall under the same laws as the other types of money transactions and that means features can be taken away if phys wants to. But there is still a way to sue the server owner if your features are taken away but its a little complex to explain.
What I think needs to be cleared is that hacking is not just sg hacking. It can be fishing, fast break etc. Reading this thread I can see that people are coming up with punishments that are way too harsh. Permanent account ban or account wipe on first offense is crazy. A resident may have not known the rules about auto farming or fishing mods. They shouldn't have their account's wiped for that. Maybe you have a mod installed for a singleplayer world that allows you to break blocks quickly. Without thinking you hop on ECC and start farming melons. All of a sudden you are banned. Account banned. Lose all ranks, donations and ecc dollars. Your entire ecc name is ruined by being labeled as a hacker. OR... You realize you made a mistake. 3 day ban on first offense and if a second offense is attained within 60 days of previous offense, then ecc money wiped + 15 day ban. If third offense happens within 60 days of second offense, PERMANENT BAN. Fair and when ecc dollars are wiped, money signs should be removed as well. One accident is allowed. Second is punished. Third is someone who is not welcome to this community.
Not knowing the rules? Nane me 1 server that allows hacking and I'll agree. It's common sense not to hack, if you do it you should recieve a bigger punishment than you do now.
I like the idea of having an account reset, this way we will have next to no hackers and this will be taken more seriously. if a new user comes to ECC and sees that hacking is let go so easily, they are being begged to install something and get tons of money. Once they are banned they have all the kits they need and all the tools they need with nothing harmed except for a bit of their reputation. Again, as I have said before, "Hacking is a serious matter, I don't care if you have been hacking for your entirety on ECC or for 5 minutes. The fact that you had the audacity to install hacks and use them on ECC is far too much." I agree, hackers should have SG stats and everything else wiped. I don't care if you spent real money on the game, its the risk you take.
People make mistakes. One mistake should not ruin hours of farming and effort. Everyone is against allowing one extra chance until you make a mistake yourself. I have never hacked but, can understand someone using bannable programs by accident. Using it more than once is not an accident. On the second offense all ecc dollars removed.
It is possible to think that maybe you can get away with hacks once. It is possible to be upset of a irl event and hack to take your anger out. It is possible to forget that you have hacks on for a singleplayer or other server. It is possible that you don't read the rules+guidelines properly and are confused about what you can and can't do. You are comparing murderers, people who killed families, tortured people and were horrible human beings, to a 6 year old who downloaded hacks. Wow
I almost made this mistake. I am currently doing major terraforming in singleplayer, and I was looking for ways to speed up the block breaking. I found a mod that gave me 15 blocks reach with a high breaking speed and realized just moments before getting into the .jar file that this mod will be still there when I play ECC. It would have probably saved me days of labor, but I didn't install it. That being said, accidents do happen and a first offend should never be severely punished. But with a second-third offend, wipe it all! Hacking is seriously unfair to honest players and a 3 day tempban is favoring hacking, just as Dccciz originally posted.
I do agree with you there. First offense should not be as harsh, but should still get a decent punishment. Second offense, wipe everything. You should know better by then.
