Suggestion: I think that money should be returned if you are scammed from someone who is saying they will buy features for you.
Reason: I think this is a great thing to do because first off, one of the reasons of not returning is it will inject money into the economy? Well, it was already in the economy when you had it in your balance and the money can be confiscated by the banned user who scammed. So, money is just being given back and no money is added whatsoever, and a counter reason to injecting money into the economy is the /sell command. isn't that just adding hundreds of thousands to the economy every day? Another reason why it should be returned is that the money will probably be spent on someone else to pay for donation features, so if you don't return the server is actually losing money that couldv'e been spent on the server to stay up or whatever other features that could've been added to the server. One last reason is, it discourages scammers so they don't feel like they are actually hurting anyone which might be they're intention to as Giant_Leader states " making a big splash before quiting ". So this will save mods time with having to go through more investigation into these donation scamming problems.
Any Other Information: If I was a member scammed in significant amounts as most donation features cost, i would probably quit or be playing much less because i don't want to have to work for something I already have had and lost. Also if you aren't going to return on scamming then why is it legal in the first place? Why not make it illegal and lose all the hastle. well there are those members who can't donate for themselves so there is the ability to buy from other users but it seems weird that it's allowed but you won't recompensate for any loss that the victims lose. I think if money could be returned if scammed from donations, then there would be hundreds of more dollars spent to the server every month because of more trust and if you lost you can get it back and buy it again. Please +1, I've been thinking for a while for reasons for this to be acceptable and it doesn't sound like a bad idea to me, anyone else? :D

Re: [Suggestion] - Money returned if scammed from donation p
This is just injecting money or free donation features into the economy.
Reasons:
Your money has left your hands and has gone on a cycle through wherever it goes, which is nearly always lotto/paying other users, and also the free donation features is sorta self-explanatory. -
Re: [Suggestion] - Money returned if scammed from donation p
I wasn't suggesting free donation features. I think that if the money was returned it would be used for donations from a different user. In no way are you getting a free feature since you already paid for it in the first place. And the money lost will also be lost from the servers donations since the user will no longer be able to buy the features they want
Also money could maybe be removed from the economy by adding more abilities and ranks that can be paid for with ecos. Adding this will give more freedom to the player and bring more fun to the game, and with more ranks , or more expensive ranks, it will keep players playing longer with the challenge to make it to the top first. Features could include more town placements and benefits, I'll try to think of some if this idea is accepted. -

Re: [Suggestion] - Money returned if scammed from donation p
The problem with this suggestion is that it could be exploited. Let's say Artor intends to quit the server (for whatever reason). Boudica knows this. She buys a donation feature from Artor for Eco$ and makes a screenshot as proof. Artor then spends all that money in a way that benefits Boudica. Either directly through a donation sign or a vastly overpriced trade sign that Boudica put up, or in an elaborate scheme involving several middlemen. Artor quits the server without actually buying the donation feature; Boudica produces the screenshot and gets "refunded" the money she already got back.
However, if a donation scam is reported while the scammer is still active and has the scammed money in his balance, it should be possible to refund his victim by just subtracting the respective amount from the scammer's balance (before banning him). This would not inject any new money into the economy. -
