Minecraft Name: Frostystorm1 Suggestion: Make melon blocks worth $2.25 Reason: Currently melon blocks are only worth $2, bringing the total profit of melon farming to about 15k/hr. Melon swords are worth about 1 mil, so I feel that they should actually turn a good profit for their value. Currently you can make back the money of an eff 7 (@ price of 1.2 mil) by mining for about 54 hours. However, for mswords (@ price of 1 mil) you need about 66 hours of melon farming. Another Great Reason to do this? As @andrewkm mentioned in shoutbox, sportsbook recently ate 8 mil. This change would be a great way to add some money into the economy without causing any inflation. It would add some needed money into the economy and will bring balance to melon farming. Any Other Information: Nope Link To This Plugin/Is this a custom addition?: Nope
If we bump this to make the value reflect the price of repayment of a tool. Id love to see the new prices for fish as they would get a super bump in prices Would also add a different way to make money rather then just 2 types of money making dominating the economy (If you dont include chorus)
15k an hour? You sure? Because when it was bumped to $2 people said it was 19k an hour. I think there's quite a difference here.
If you're only making 15k an hour melon farming you must be doing it wrong. When I did the math on the buff it works out to 18/19k an hour - and I typically make that farming. Also 8mil being taken from the economy isn't a reason to buff melons... That's not how ECConomics works. That money gets added back naturally by people mining/farming and buying ECD. Tl;dr -1 for math -1 for economics
You dont need to add any money back, as andrew also said last night. It'll come back naturally with people using /sell , more wins on SB, etc.
-1 if you want to make money fast, end farm. Otherwise prices should remain the same otherwise what the hell is the point of the end?
To be fair, melon farming requires a million dollar tool and still makes less than half of what the end can. I don't think it should be raised, however.
