    Thread Title:
Make breeding horses a donation feature.

    Minecraft Name:
    MattBrpQc.

    Suggestion:
As we all know, Minecraft 1.6.1 has just come out and on ECC, we cannot breed horses, however, what if we could have a donation feature to allow us to breed horses? Only certain users could do it and sell their breeding abilities as another form of making some extra money. It would also prevent players from spamming the ability to breed horses therefore slowing the server's performance, I know there are potential problems with this though so I want you guys' feedback, tell me what you think about this and how much you would pay for this ability.
    Reason:
Think about it, it would benefit players who want the best out of horses and it aids Andrew in running the server, its another way for us to gain players too, horses, breeding, it all fits.

Because of the thread title, I'm obligated to ask if you intend to dredge them in bread crumbs or flour, and if you'll be baking or frying the horses.

No. We should not make horse breeding enabled for anyone. The amount of lag that could be caused is exponentially higher at that point. Say even just 1 person donates for horse breeding. This person starts with two horses. They breed the two horses and get another, then breed the 2 horses and get another. Now they have 4 horses. They breed the 4 horses and get 2 more. Now they have 6. They breed the 6 horses and get 3 more now they have 9. So on and so forth. Further, you are able to do this once every 5 minutes.

According to my calculations you could have 211 new entities in an hour. And 20 minutes after that you will have a total of 711 entities. Making a breedable, invincible, not butchered creature is a very bad idea.

For the reasons stated above I must say no.

Based on how much bickering and complaining goes on about horses and everything surrounding them, I'd much rather bread them than breed them. Mmmmm

Maybe there's a business opportunity in glue and dog food too.

Can't breeding time be adjusted? Why not change it from 20 minutes to something like several days..? (That may be too little or too much; it is just an example).

Breeding would allow for the horse stats to be bred--making better horses and new markets. As well, it would add the possibility of getting mules (unless those can be added to egg spawning)...

I don't think it should be enabled, for reasons Revan covered. Although I DO think that Andrew should breed a few mules (Donkey + Horse) and sell them for something like, oh I don't know, 100k - 500k, that really depends on Andrew's perspective. And, he could look up what the best stat horses, get one of each best in jumping and speed, and breed them together to make one of the best horses ever, and sell it for like 1mil. Of course, only if SOME form of protection was enabled, or otherwise it would be useless.

Your right people like Ike have nothing to spend there money on. But your wrong to. I know of only one person who had over 2mil on ecc. There are about 12 people who have over 1mil. Why would they spend all or half of there money on something as useless as horses when there are so many other useless things they could buy? They could buy all the diamonds in ecc, they could buy a 800x800 town, they could buy a spawn shop, they could simply use there enormous pool of wealth to loan out to people and get more money, they could use it to buy donation features, they could buy a spawn shop, they could have a day of fun in the lottery, they could get the ecc nether star medal by buying a double chest of nstars, they could buy a spawn town ect... The list goes on and on. So would you rather have a single entitie? Or one of the things listed above.

Even rich players still have things to spend there money on and horses are simply just stupid and there popularity will die anyways as more and more people get horse eggs from voting.

I have had mil in my bal before a few times and you know what I did? I crushed the lottery with 100 ticks until I ran out of money. I would most definitely not buy a horse. Why? Because it's a waste of money like tycoon and ecoleader. I like having fun and so do all the other rich players.

When I first got a horse I placed it, and I was like omg sweet! I road it around and was bored In 5 mins so I road it off a cliff:p

I guess what I'm trying to say is no1 would ever spend 1 mil on a horse exept for maybe nickla cuz he has 7mil .-.

I see, yeah, maybe like 200k for a donkey or whatever is much more reasonable

You could make. Limit on the breeding, like breeding two horses every four hours.
