Suggestion:
Allow bows to be sold to the server for $0 (more if you want, but idc about the money).
Allow flint and steel to be sold to the server for $0.
Allow leather armor to be sold to the server for $0.
Reason:
It will allow players to eliminate them from their inventories with /sell all or /sell bow. Good for when you are grinding skeletons (/sell all or /sell bone|/sell arrow|/sell bow).
Flint and steel and leather armor are mostly trash items.
Any Other Information:
I know this can already be accomplished with /clear inventory, but that requires all equipment to be /owned and no other items to be present lest they be lost. Disposal aren't as instantaneous and require a feature to be made. Basically it is open access to a safe, fast method of trash removal.
Enchanted bows and leather armor will be affected by this and /sell for $0 unless /owned. Differentiating between enchanted and unenchanted items would require much more work than simply setting a price as evidenced byon this thread.

not playing main server but this sounds like a reasonable idea. even on skyblock it would be an addition that makes sense (bows from skeleton farming)

You could always set up a [Disposal] sign to get rid of them

/sell works by taking an item and searching for a matching combination of ID and meta ID in the item value config. However, enchantments are stored in NBT data, which means that an enchanted bow and an unenchanted one have the same ID and meta ID.
If you set a /sell value for bows, the server won't care whether you're selling a cheap skeleton bow or a star bow. (The same applies to armor, but with less potential economic impact.) -

[Edit]: I just confirmed that neither /sell or /ci affect /owned items. Should be fine if this gets accepted. -

You may be confusing that with the fact that Diamond tools can't be sold at all?
However, you are correct that /clear is custom and does in fact ignore owned items. -
Added flint and steel at $0.
The other's won't be added.
- We don't allow any armor to be sold.
- Bows would interfere with enchantments.-
