I believe they already do spawn at the /tutorial, if I'm not mistaken.

 

They don't, actually, but I think this would be a good idea to help new players learn how to play on the server.

We already have new players spawn at the tutorial when they first join.

As for the /mail, we suggest using the /help system in the MOTD when you log in.

They do spawn at the tutorial? I don't think I did, but then again, that was 2.5 years ago. I do like the idea of builder mail though. Maybe builders, or any person, really, could send out a question that someone could look at and possibly answer. That's kind of what the forums are for though, but many builders don't have forum accounts. There are many different ways you could go with the idea of giving builders a helping hand, and this is definitely a topic worth discussing.

 

Spawning in the tutorial is somewhat new.

 

I know a lot of other servers have new members spawn with a written book.
Cant we write a book with the help commands in so that they might actually read it.

Chat goes super fast sometimes especially at staff and they might not see the message of the day, but you can really miss a book in your inventory.

 

I think that we should update the server tutorial. I remember walking through that and saying what the actual heck because it was too confusing. (now I don't want to sound like I am advertising but the tutorial on --mod edit-- is amazing! It shows everything you need to know and it rewards you for completing it which is a good incentive for new players, it also has a one time through of the tutorial so people can't just print money. (also if you do put this in, put it in when the ecd goes down so that everyone goes through, makes $100 bucks and the ecd goes up :) ) - Leon

 

We updated the tutorial earlier this summer. Is it still confusing?

 

IMO, learning ECC is not really that hard.

I read the tutorial and wiki a bunch. Figured it out pretty quickly.

+1 I personally fell hard for the learning curve, didn't even know there was a website so I couldn't look at the wiki. Plus, no offense guys but the tutorial didn't really help.

 

Assuming you mean the tutorial when you joined in 2014, there's a new tutorial now.

 

No, My brother had this account and joined in 2014, he left it for a while and I took it over in January or so.

 

The tutorial was created around... (early) summer this year, I would estimate. Have you seen that one yet?
