Or extra choices for kits that are still balanced, thus not giving an advantage. But allowing for a different playing style. Not pay2win, donators simply get more choices. (subscription based. So not a permanent feature. Subscription based means they can always be nerfed, without people going all like "but I paid for this!")
That is what basic kitpvp is. Except allowing donators to have a wider array of choices. No advantages, just different playing styles. I don't see how it's any different from "basic kitpvp"
The idea was a basic kitpvp where everyone had the same thing, which was stated throughout this thread at multiple points, so yea I agree with players complaining too. They may offer now advantage but they really would cause it would still limit players, what if the subscription kit is the way X player likes to play, the other kits would be less then average for him/her compared to that subscription kit. To be honest I would avoid kitpvp as much as I do SG if that where implemented.
A possibility is somebody donates $X to unlock special kits for everyone on the server for X amount of time. If ECC really need the donations from kit-pvp. However ECC has enough funds to keep up for a very very long time, so I don't see why we should monetize it at all. As said earlier, if Kit-pvp is introduced (Which it most likely won't), then it should be completely F2P.
Just like how people complain on minigame servers? (where a subscription gives extra stuff) That was sarcasm btw. Making assumptions like that is silly when it simply already works on other servers. You think the most common thing in minigame servers is awful? It has proven to work well with other servers. Why would it be awful on ECC?
I know you're not replying to me but just commenting what I think. Sure its important for ECC to recognize what other servers are doing well. But its also important for ECC to realize what they're doing poorly and take initiative by doing things before others. Kitpvp is already a popular gamemode and yes it would be good to take part. Just has to be executed properly, including how donations will affect game play. But pretty sure kitpvp has been denied before because of survival games.
So we have to be like every server? And do what they do? Why can't it be something simple that people like, instead of focusing on kits why not a nice fun to play in arena? Why does it have to have a donation feature, there is soo much in features it's not even funny, water and lava are separate features, I mean its a nice idea but come on its abit excessive. Why do we need more kits even if its balanced.
No, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't look at other servers and see how they do it, considering they show it works and it's less risky. I'm not saying copy other servers and do exactly what they do. I'm using other servers to say it already works in a way. A completely optional non-invasive feature that doesn't give anyone ANY advantage. I still don't understand why you're against it. I can understand if it gives an advantage, or if it's a requirement to do a thing. (like water and lava) But it's neither. It doesn't do anything except offer a larger array of customization for donators. It's like trails or pets in a way. Also understand that the "subscription" would be a server-wide subscription with things in it that aren't kitpvp.
