Suggestion:
Increase the grief report priority
Reason:
griefing is bad.. nobody like it when it happens, nobody likes to see it after it happened. you cant clean up a grief till a staff looks at the report and does their job. griefs slow down productivity of a town, less productivity means less money. this expecially applies to farm griefing.
Any Other Information:
personally i have waited up to 4 days for a grief report to be looked at. greif reports take entirely too long to be solved and this saddens me. the block logs are a mystery, nobody really knows when they get cleared.. maybe staff does.. but users dont, and to put a user through a slow grief report response is punishing to the user for being griefed.

I made sure to do grief reports as soon as I saw them when I was supermod. I guess it's just a natter of activity.

Response Time - Within 24 Hours
Cant really say they are not done in a timely manner, there are a few that are not dealt with quickly, this is because not the correct information has been given...
Also, since 1st October to 31st December 2014 -
5 of 82 topics had a response time of 2 Day response time
0 of 82 topics had 2 Day+ response time
Since the New Year to Today -
2 of 67 topics had a response time of 2 Day response time
0 of 67 topics had a response time of 2 Day+ response time
This is all from a GMT timezone. But as you can see, they are done pretty quickly and in a timely fashion.

As for block logs, they are cleared when a major reset happens or once a week normally it seems. It is a mystery to everyone - even staff sometimes as reported in many responses to grief reports when they are just as saddened by log block clear as any of us. -

We aren't given prior warning for logblock clears, and we aren't going to be, it would be a massive liability. For that hour we could grief almost wherever we wanted and get away with it, knowing that nothing would happen because logblock logs would be cleared. That information could be leaked (intentionally or accidentally). Unless you saw the grief happen you'd have 0 evidence when the grief happened or who did it, as that info would vanish with the block logs.
I trust everyone on staff, I really do. But should any staff member decide to cause trouble with their powers, this would give them the ability to do a lot of damage in a short period of time and with no way to catch them.-

You know, I have a thought that is slightly off-topic but relevant. When my town was new and much smaller, I had a few instances of grief and I wondered why it took staff so long (bear with me, staff) to respond to them. I also thought of the prevention of grief and/or grief penalties as primarily a staff responsibility. But the more important lesson to learn from griefing is not about staff -- it's about the players who griefed you. What did they have in common; how did they behave; and how can those sorts of players be spotted from the start and not sold a plot or home in the first place?
I do a few simple things when I am "selling" plots that aren't really sales tactics, they're tests of the player: (1) no plot or home is sold for any amount less than $1000 provided by the player themselves; (2) no player is sold a plot or home without first being told to go to our town thread and read the town rules; and (3) no player is sold a plot or home if they exhibit certain behaviors -- not responding to initial questions; attempting to edit blocks before they're added; showing any kind of crappy attitude at all. The $1000 isn't for me to make money -- it's because a player who has paid $1000 has a psychic investment in the town, and they have something to lose. A player who wants it for free will grief you. A player who wants to do a payment plan for an amount that small will grief you. A player who doesn't listen when you're talking to them will grief you. A player who has "trouble" reading the town rules -- or claims to have read them too quickly -- will grief you. Players who pass those tests will not.
As evidence, I offer the fact that central Lancaster has more than 100 active players in it, dozens of them builders, and is built out of enough expensive materials to buy a melon sword if you mined it -- and we have not had a single case of grief in months.
Staff are not the solution to every problem on the server. Sometimes, we are.-
