As someone who recently tried to remove a 50 x 30 oval filled with glass.. yes please.

 

As vanilla Minecraft offers no tool to effectively break glass with, something like the mcMMO woodcutting leaf blower ability would be required. I have no idea how much work it would be, especially considering that it would probably be something that checks for a certain tool lore or similar to make it bound to certain tools.

However, it would be nice to have.

 

It would be trivial, it's something I could code in 30 minutes at most. Although it might have to hook into logblock so it gets logged properly.

The thread is not asking for a tool that doesn't destroy glass when you break it: as you said, there already is, and it is silk pick. But the point of this thread is, rather, to ask for a tool that breaks glass fast:

I myself think that the "leafblower" idea would be perfect.

No, differently from superbreaker, it doesn't last for a limited time. It's slightly less efficient than superbreaker though, but still almost instant, way faster than how breaking glass is atm.
