I explained in the post as to why in this case it is okay to protect the community from any hurt feelings: As I said previously, The only one in conflict is winner. Rating someone's appeal winner sends mixed messages. You rate it sarcastically, but without a tone or the person clearly expressing discontent than it will be impossible to differentiate from support and disapproval. Rating someone's ban appeal funny has a clear messsage, you think it is a joke, they won't have a chance, etc. I don't even know how could you compare them as similar on a scale of hate mongering.
What I find "funny" is that this (or something very close) just keeps being suggested over and over again. Andrew has responded to this before - his answer is "don't need any more ratings". Some of you may not remember back when a conversation like this got him so mad, he took away all of the ratings for a while. I would really prefer for us to just leave it like he wants it to be, we really do not need any more imho.
I honestly don't see what would be gained from adding this rating. You would get to express an opinion, but everyone seems to be just fine using other ratings to share this same opinion.
Missed that. I mean, there's really nothing to gain from any rating at all - Does that mean ratings should be removed or not added? No, absolutely not. Everyone seemed just fine using the four main ratings (Friendly, like, agree and winner) before the other ratings were reintroduced in April-ish 2015, but we enjoy using these ratings, especially the potato . Anyway, I think it'd be a nice addition, it allows players to express their opinion more consistently, and most of all, I don't see why not.
+1, re add this. the new creative rating is much better for harrassing people anyway people will continue using that.
I really do wish the "powers that be" could make a decision (actually this has been denied several times before) one way or the other and lock these type of suggestions so that there would not need to be endless bumps. I still disagree with this personally for the record.
Well, since it seems this just will not go away I will repeat this: What I find "funny" is that this (or something very close) just keeps being suggested over and over again. Andrew has responded to this before - his answer is "don't need any more ratings".
