I guess it is kind of hard to imagine, but based off the context these people weren't constructively -1ing, they were spamming posts with funny ratings. It's like making fun of someone. That's a good point. Something I've just realised is that as of late the creative and optimistic ratings, while they are used for negative purposes, they have been used much less often for such a purpose. I guess those people that abused the funny rating are /mostly/ gone so it wouldn't be too bad having the funny rating back.
People always say "take them, they're free ratings" So if someone poured water on your head laughing you would "drink it, it's free water" Mental bullying is a thing you guys know. Regardless, the funny rating should not return. It isn't needed. Twitter doesn't have a funny rating; they're perfectly fine. All we really need is like, agree, and winner, but we have the rest so that people can express other emotions. If you think something is funny, just rate it like, or if you really want to, rate it potato. You don't need a rating to express one specific feeling. Besides, funny was used more for trolling and bullying than anything back when it existed.
Which is different from creative and optimistic how? I'll give an example of current usage of ratings: Is this not what you're saying shouldn't be allowed. Why is it different with funny?
Friendly as well. If it were up to me, they would be removed. As I said all we really need is like, winner and agree. These ratings here I think should be removed; but they won't, which is why I'd rather focus on simply not getting another rating used for trolling.
Will it matter if there are more different ratings? People who want to troll will rate it anyway, no matter which ratings are available. If there's no funny, they'll use creative or optimistic instead. But since it's no different then why not add funny so it can be used legitimately? Because trolls are trolls, and they'll troll no matter what rating is available.
I don't see a way you can troll with like, agree and winner. Perhaps people will take it as trolling, but it is much easier to tell funny is trolling than it is to tell that winner is trolling. Funny won't be used legitimately, it will probably take priority as a troll rating over creative and optimistic because people are "laughing" at the post. I really don't think we need all these ratings, and I'll keep that standpoint, which is why even though people will find a way to troll no matter what, I prefer that there are fewer ratings in general.
I honestly think so because funny means they are "laughing" at the post. Besides, I still think we don't need any more ratings.

-1 One time someone rated my post funny and I reported them because they hurt my feelings. People don't deserve to have their opinions rated funny. It's disrespectful, mean, and rude. There are so many trolls on this server that only play because they like to hurt other's feelings. It makes them feel good inside. just like me xddd +1 very offensived wow
