I have the idea for two mining worlds. Since the main mining world was made open to builders and PVP was turned off, the mining world gets a lot more 'harvested' of its resources than it used to. I've noticed that a few people would want a mining world where PVP is enabled, whereas lower ranks such as builders that would hate that. I wondered what would suit both groups and came up with the idea for two mining worlds. The original world would remain non-PVP and open to all ranks. A second 'elite' mining world could be opened which would be open to Residents+. PVP would be enabled outside the spawn area and teleporting would be disabled (you'd have to navigate your way back to the spawn). People could hunt for miners like in the past, to suit PVP-ers. However, you're probably thinking, why take the extra risk? The elite mining world could have a higher ore-generation (i.e. 33% higher) and maybe a stronghold hidden somewhere, for those in search of the valuable cracked/mossy stone bricks.
I was reading the Ecocitycraft advertisement post on Planet Minecraft and the mining world is described as 'A risky mining free-for-all that will challenge everyone!'. Although, when I think about it, apart from the occasional spawner sighting, it is no more risky than the main world and hardly 'challenging'. I believe adding a secondary 'elite' world would bring back the element of adrenaline-packed mining.

Okay, considering that point. Maybe rather than no teleporting, perhaps a 5-10 second waiting period where you must stand still, so that PVP-ers still have a chance.

I love this idea.
A lot.
I can't tell you enough.
But I'm thinking mayor+
There are still a lot of residents that JUST got the rank.
The idea is perfect. More risk + more gain = awesomenesssauce. -
The only problems with having mayors+, is that
1) there wouldnt be that many people mining so the PVPers would get annoyed
2) it would make it so much easier to find ores and spawners etc. because, although there is pvp, if you are hidden and away from spawn, its no big deal, there wouldnt be that many people going to that world.
i also think that most/some people (including me) would rather stay in a peaceful place to kill mobs/get exp and mine without having to watch your back every few seconds. -

Or we could just bring back PvP in the regular mining world so that people actually have to work for the resources

Although, we could make this world a LOT smaller. Maybe like 1000x1000 world? Or even 600x600.
It would keep people from running out to Z:2500 and setting home.
Although, i suppose we could make it resident and still make it small like 1,000x1,000. -

Then, with more miners, there wojuld be more PVPers trying to kill the miners. This would even out the percentages of mined ores in this world to the main mining world. If this were to exist, there should only be 1 spawn, with no 'build' portals.

I would like a second mining world for res or mayor+ BUT I really really dislike pvp and would rather the MINING world and the PVP world stay separate.

More worlds = Sure.
Second mining world = Bit excessive. -

There's no reason to add another mining world, literally none at all.
