You cannot re-name an item to have a new enchantment. You would get something like this. You might fool someone for 5 seconds, but it won't look the same But if you mean spawn in an item with a higher Efficieny enchant, that is possible.
So what if this happens and the new item is eff7, what would happen to the already existent items? Would the items just stay at eff5? If so, that would be extremely unfair.
You mean if I bought an Eff V pickaxe a month ago and then andrew raises them to Eff 7? That's a bit of tough luck for me. Everyone would go to stock up on Eff 7. But I don't think higher Eff tools should be added. It's only going to lead to 3 things. Lower pumpkin prices. Lower melon prices. Lower mining prices.
Hello, Here are my re-buttles to a few of the comments above, sorry if it comes mean sounding, I'm not too good with words I seriously doubt someone has bought one of these on purpose, but yes, the current items (if any) would stay at Eff5. Lower pumpkin prices? -Eff 5 is already as fast as a pumpkin could be broken so this would have no impact Melon prices? -I am not 100% certain but I thinking that even a Melon Sword could break melons faster than an Eff7 pick but I may be wrong. Lower mining prices? -Im not sure it if would be lowered or just another way to make a good amount of money. Instead of melon farming we could all go stone farming!
Ah, no problem, I prefer it when people blank out give my opinions rather then trying to make it sound nice. I was unaware that in the original post the melon sword was not intended to go up, and I was also unaware that pumpkins were at the max breaking point. As for mining, I am rather sure that some items would be lowered, albeit slightly.
Dude, I ment re-naming a item with a fake enchantment, like having a efficiency 10 pickaxe, fortune 10, unbreaking 10 pickaxe and renaming it with a random name, the pickaxe would reverse to efficiency 5, fortune 3, unbreaking 3.. since efficiency 10/fort10/unbreaking10 doesn't technically exist in minecraft, you misunderstood!
Here's what I think. To prevent the possibility of people owning so many of these eff 5+ things, put a limit on how many are circulated each month. OR! Use them as voting prizes... Hmm? Why not make someone who has gotten top voter of the month 3 times able to get an eff 7 tool (Not how I said TOOL, not sword.) This way, even yet again, voting is encouraged.
There's a whole lot I love about this suggestion. I would much rather see the pick, axe, and shovel given a reason to be at 1000 Nstars than see their Nstar price reduced to a more reasonable value. I also think the only enchantment value that can work for them is Efficiency, and I also think they need to be usable for players to have a huge new income stream as a result of investing in the tool or to do something the tool would not otherwise be able to do, without duplicating an action available from a donation feature. Doing a higher efficiency seems useful for nether and mining world Fly+/Pyro users. This might help it act like the melon sword to be a synergy with Fly. Plus, it'd be fun to fly around cleaving the world with a constant quasi-super breaker brand of justice. +1: This can be done to great affect, and doesn't seem to have fallout that hurts any other part or player on the server.
You cannot "re-name" an item with a fake enchant... But with Andrew's access to server commands, you can "change/spawn" an item with efficiency 10. Re-naming it with an anvil would not change it back to Eff V. And technically yes, minecraft can go all the way to 10. I'm not sure about limits, but i can confirm I have used the following enchantments on tools, and they have worked. Unbreaking X Knockback X Sharpness X There are probably a few others i have used, just can't think of the names.
I'm sorry, but that is not a very good idea. Pros Entices people to vote to get the item Cons Only six people will obtain this per month and also, people like megacuber587 always win so, very few people will get this award
Yeah I agree, I don't like them to be given as voting prizes, and I don't think higher Eff tools should be added at all. As for voting, with the new offline voting, we may see a lot more winners at the top of that list. If you can't get on the server for one day, them before you would lose, but this time, even if you can't get on the server for a week, you can still win with offline voting.
well people apparently have no problem getting 1k nstars, so make it worth as much as a spawner. or a little less
