I figure, why *not* have a Donation section?
We could use it to discuss which donations are the most useful to buy, who sells donations, new donations and their uses, have donation tutorials, etc.
Lots of players don't know which donations to buy, and with the new BuyCraft system it is a little hard to determine which donation you want, because you need to click each donation purchase in order to learn about the donation. If a player who is new to donations were to try to decide what he wanted, how would he know what stealth is if he is scared to click "Buy", lest he be stuck with getting that donation?
I realize that these could all be placed in other sections, like for sale/wanted or the tutorial section, but why not put them all in one place where it is easy to find? I think this would be a useful addition to the forums.
Alternately, I would like to see the "Donation Information" page changed back so you can read about all of the different donations in one place instead of clicking "Buy" on each of them in BuyCraft to see what they do and then end up forgetting which one has the feature that you want. (For instance, you know you want to be able to use /workbench, but which donation has that in it? You would probably have to click through a few different donations in BuyCraft to figure out which package it is.)

I don't think we need a whole section to discuss donations. General is a great place to talk or sometimes economy..
I don't think it will be busy enough.
I think andrewkm should make a thread asking the questions and then people reply with their thoughts about which is the most useful

Not sure a Donator/Donation subforum or board would get used very often... And in the case of "what donation should I get?", many people ask this for their first donation, so they won't even be able to see the section.
I'd be all for the section if there is some special "benefit" to it - like I mentioned in another thread, most Donator sections on forums have announcements and news released early - otherwise, I think those types of threads can go in other areas. It'd just be a dead area, posted in a few of times a week. I suppose if it was a subforum (like how Goals are under Economy and not directly on the forum front page), it would be alright... Although, it may not be known as "there." -shrugs- -
You may misunderstand, I think this proposed section should be available to everyone. *About* donations, not *for* donators. I think a subforum might be good too. Either way :p

I thought I'd commented on this.. I guess I didn't.. Well, I think it's great, it'd be of way more value than most of the existing and would be one of the most popular sections as it lets people talk about an iconic piece of the server! +1

Although I enjoy organization, I feel that donation feature discussions play directly into the gameplay, and thus general discussion area.
On the donation feature descriptions, maybe they could be added to the wiki, where each feature can be simply linked to the according commands in the wiki commands page.
