I am sure we had negative ratings originally when the forums changed ages ago (miss the old forums btw). They were removed quickly because of people down voting random posts just to lower people's ratings. This would just happen again, it would be even easier to troll with than previously removed rating like creative and useful. -1
We've already lost enough ratings because they're "troll" ratings I guess. This one would be out fast.
They were "troll" ratings because they were used as a negative rating which was not their purpose, giving them a double meaning. This would give an official negative rating so we can enjoy ratings themselves. Also, someone spamming negative ratings to everyone can be against the rules. Would be easy to report.
I really dislike the idea the idea of a rating against positive ratings, I would like to see a disagree rating personally but it would be abused. I understand your point with the double meaning, but as soon as this gets added the ban appeals and complaints will be flooded with people disagreeing with stuff like the creative rating was before.
I changed my post, and I checked out spigot who also uses this forum, and they have Total Positive, Neutral and Negative and a small bar at the bottom which shows the ratio of each. Also, why does everyone have a problem with people disagreeing with stuff on ban appeals and complaints but not with people rating "winner" or "agree" on complaints?
How on earth can a rating being considered a troll? We could have a disagree/ dislike rating and have it as a positive rating. This can be done with the ratings add on that we use.

No you aren't right. You said I "obviously haven't been on the server for the last 1-2 years" when I clearly have. A rating is a rating trolly or not. Thats like me turning round and saying "oh favouriting that tweet of mine is so annoying, dont do it again" Its just stupid. We got rid of ratings that could actually mean something, and add some more creativity to posts. To see what users thought of posts. And now what are we left with? 4 absolute pointless ratings. May as well just have the default "Like" xenForo feature.
It is very immature that people consider certain post ratings" trolly"... I think we should add the rest of the ratings back. This is the only forum i have been on, that uses the post ratings add on and that the community makes such a big deal out of nothing.
I honestly don't see the point in a negative rating and I guess any ratings in general. If you dislike something that some says simply click that little grey box at the bottom of the page and explain why. Especially with things like suggestions. If I suggest something and another user disagrees and simply pushes a button or posts "-1" that holds no value in explaining what they thought was wrong or needed changing. If you really have something to say about someone else's post, why not just say it?
