I play sg a lot on other servers mostly but this server some all the other ones have ether a wall to stop runners or inflict damage on runners i think one of these is needed what it to stop someone from running off and hiding in a building putting a rock or so something on the shift key and going to watch tv till the other person leaves the game
Those walls/damage barriers are the reason I never enjoyed playing SG on other servers. I always died near the deathmatch due to not having the freedom to fall back and heal before taking the person on. Anyway, that's what the Survival in Survival games stands for. Surviving is all that matters, the last one to survive wins. You don't want people to escape? Kill them. If you can't kill someone who's running away then you simply need to get better at it.
haha ya but its annoying chasing someone with nothing for like 10 mins for no reason because all they do is run away.
The fact is in any and all games of tactics there will be multiple tactics and those tactics will annoying people when they mess up their personal tactics. I don't feel we should limit how people fight. The game is about Survival. Survival means staying alive. For some people that means running until you've thought of a plan that doesn't end in your own death. Other people would rather charge in head first and hope for the best. I think what I'm saying is that I disagree limiting one group of people's tactics because it messes up the other group of people's tactics. As I stated before, learn to adapt: Oh he is running? Use a bow.
Don't fight battles you can't win is how I play. If I'm damaged and I'm certain I'll lose then I need to run away, heal and then kill. It's not about getting better at fighting, because I can fight just fine. For me it's a game of tactics as well as PvP skill. In a game where people have equal PvP skill the one with the best tactics will win. (assuming everyone has the same kits)
The speed pot from kit buffer comes into play when people run away. I do not think we really need a limit.
Maybe do a compromise. The first 5 mins are normal: no boundaries, looting. Maybe after the 5 mins the borders start coming in. I that some sort of boundary needs to be implanted. I recently played sg 1 and had to chase this guy up one of the buildings. It wasn't too fun.
being damaged and running is fine we all do it but i mean people with bad gear when u have good gear who run for 10 mins with no point because u both know that they can not win
In those cases tactics are vital as well. The person running away is usually at a disadvantage, the arena ends somewhere. You just need to outsmart them and cut them off. (works most of the time) Sometimes this will end in a staredown kind of situation (like when 1 person is inside the building in sg4 and there's only 1 entrance), they're in reach, but getting in means you have a large chance of dying first, which means you lost and wasted your time. It's fun in a way. Don't let someone running away ruin your fun. :b
So only people who aren't injured should be forced to not run? We can't make assumptions on that type of thing. I think the system is fine how it is. Yes, some people get frustrated but if we stop the runners then the injured people who need to run will get frustrated. At that point we'll have a new suggestion up 'Get rid of the limit' and we'll be back at square 1. :/ I vote adaptation.
right i see Some logic in that -1 for the suggestion i as an sg Player love chasing running People i have My bow from My kits So its not hard to Kill them When They run away.
