Thread Title:
Adding some general Contract outlines to help users feel more secure
Minecraft Name:
sick24
Suggestion:
Well, as you can see, many of us love to use contracts to secure our deal; however, I always feel like I am going to leave out a point and the other user will find the loophole. I am suggesting adding a few general outlines for topics such as donation features. melon sword rentals and other high-risk transactions. For example a donation feature outline may look like this:
IGN:
sick24
Users Involved in this Contract:
user1
General Purpose of Contract:
To donate for a donation feature
I (the contract initiator) agree to the following terms, and agree that my failure to complete such terms will result in a breach of contract, as outlined in Rule 3:
I, sick24, will pay x Ecodollars to user1 for a donation of x USD under my name.
The other user(s) involved with this contract must agree to the following terms:
To donate x USD to the server for feature y. To do this by <insert date 3 days from now>.
I agree that the terms in this contract are subject to all of EcoCityCraft's rules, including the rules listed specifically in this forum. I understand that the contract may be affected by future changes in EcoCityCraft rules and server updates, and I accept that due to the possibility of such changes, this contract may be at my own risk. I understand that the contents of this contract are subject to staff assessment, review and approval before it is a binding contract under EcoCityCraft rules. I accept that action may not be taken in case of a breach of contract if appropriate and sufficient evidence is not provided of such.:
<Agreement to these terms, yes or no.>
I would feel much more secure copying and pasting a contract made by moderators knowing that all the necessary outlines are covered instead of just including what I feel to be necessary
Reason:
Not only will it help us feel more secure but the administrators could make these outlines so that it covers all the necessary points that each user needs to hold up.
Other Information:
I could see making each outline take awhile and if it does take too long adding a section about "Things to include in your contract" would be a good fall back.

Thats the best part, none needed!

Sick24, that is a very very good idea. I agree that the staff team may want to pen a few contract outlines for use by other users in cases that occur frequently.

I will personally be writing a supplementary wiki section to aid in writing contracts. This will include example contracts and suggested terms. Please stay tuned as this may take me a couple days. :3
