Suggestion: Deny and delete all complaints relating to amount of signs in a spawnshop.
Reason: This is simple, deny and delete all complaints relating to trade signs in a spawnshop. These complaints are the most abitrary, and defamatory complaints out there. If you really feel the need to file a complaint on this, then you need to set your priorities straight. There is absolutely no need to file a complaint like this. Contact a staff member in-game, and they can handle it from there. Oh no! It won't be on record! Sure it will, make a thread in the staff section about it if you want, even though that would be a waste of time as well. Anyway, that's my suggestion.
Any Other Information: Nope.

I don't see why we would set a minimum value on scamming - that would seem to have the biggest impact on newer players. Say a builder is scammed $500 - why would we tell them "Yes, this player broke the rules, but that doesn't matter to us because it wasn't enough"? $500 could reasonably be of great value to a new player. Any kind of scamming is unacceptable here, and I see no reason to change that.
As for the spawnshop thing, I don't see at all how thats defamatory in nature. Unless you're doing absolutely nothing but looking at the sheer number of complaints someone has ever had filed against them, how does it defame someone? People would see that they're about spawnshops.
My response to both of these is about the same, why would we stop players from using complaints to report rule-breaking?-

"Some exceptions for these would be netherstars, as those could easily be scammed one at a time to rack up over time"
A netherstar has equal or greater value to $500, there's practically no difference. Scamming $1 compared to $1,000,000 are both against the rules, if users could get away with scamming $500 at a time, that could soon build up. Plus, if somebody is willing to scam $500, they are likely to scam much higher values too. Filing a complaint on a user for smaller offenses is what can prevent bigger repeat offenses in the future.
Either way, it;s breaking the rules, there should be no minimum to this. Think about a user who xrays, if they only "xrayed to find 1 diamond" does that make it okay?

Why should players be allowed to scam at all? -
Player 1: 'Looking for erep, will pay 200'
Player 2: 'Sure I'll do it'
*TP's and does the e-rep*
Player 2: '200 please'
Player 1: 'Nah, below $500 isn't scamming and the staff won't make me pay'
That isn't healthy for an economy server in even the smallest way. Sure you may feel that filing a complaint for an amount which you could earn back yourself in less than the time it took you to file the complaint is a bit silly, but this is a really bad idea. It would result in all the small little transactions that happen hundreds of times a day being unenforceable.-

Well, I understand now that the idea about the scamming is a little silly, so I've removed that.
However, I'm standing firm on my idea about the complaints on spawnshops. Please respond if you already have to this new proposal. -
Let's not go down this path of adopting attitudes that will result in bigger issues later. -
-
So until changed it is still a rule, one that if not adhered to means that the player is contravening the server rules.
Should you perceive it as petty, well that is a personal opinion, however it does not distract from rules as defined by the server. So back to my earlier post, where do we draw the line as to what rules can be bent, flaunted, enforced or ignored? -

Players can have scamming, hacking, trolling and etc. in their record... But spawnshop complaints are, as you noticed me say, are petty.
They need to be separated, since they may be a couple of these complaints lets say. Somebody searches a players record. He sees these couple of complaints. From glance this player has a criminal record. It can make a different view of the player easily.
Also no player would EVER be banned for spawnshop sign problems right? That would be ridiculous. Lets look at a ban appeal from spawnshop sign placement failure.
Reason why you should be unbanned: I totally forgot! I was on holiday! My computer broke! My dog ate my keyboard!
Complaints are something not to joke about and i actually saw people reporting sign failure IN the spawnshop thread.
