I really only have two suggestions.
1. Apparently, it's not acceptable to discuss Hitler's birthday (as I learned from trying to discuss Hitler's birthday; literally nothing more about the man than his date of birth being 20th April 1889). I can clearly understand why discussing the Holocaust or Hitler's political views is unacceptable. That's a no-brainer. But really? His date of birth being deemed unacceptable? That's almost like saying that you can't politely and respectfully have a debate over Mitsubishi Motors and Honda because Mitsubishi's parent company built the planes that bombed Pearl Harbour or saying you can't politely and respectfully talk about the television show Two and a Half Men (from the days when Charlie Sheen was still on) because Charlie Sheen was a drug addict.
2. When I found out that town chat channels had been removed (which apparently included /ch trivia), I was semi-devistated because I absolutely loved /ch trivia. I literally sat and cried for around 45 seconds.
Just some ideas. Feel free to use them as you wish.

This.. sounds more like a complaint than a suggestion. Are you suggesting staff is more lenient with subjects in chat and that town chat channels should return? (or just /ch trivia?)

For 2, I'm suggesting the return of all town channels, including /ch trivia. -

April 20th has several other negative connotations that I'm sure you're aware of, which is likely why staff tried to nix conversation about it.
