3) Character renames are coming out. Someone could buy 1 alt account and make an inf. amount of accounts to get 1k each with. -1000.

Builders can apply for bonus as admirald said in his post. Also he offers another 2.5k for builders who apply too.

 

No. Builder's can vote and get there nstars or cookies and sell those for money to start with. Just giving every builder money would spawn 10s of 1000s of dollars into the economy every day.

There are many problems with this suggestion. First and foremost, is it going to happen to anyone who's .dat was wiped. If so every 2 weeks I could log in 6 of my friends accounts, have them pay me, then log out and wait another 2 weeks. Woo steady source of income!!

Secondly, its a hard core economy. None of us started with cash and we made our way here. Why should we baby the new builders?

Third, what does giving them free money teach them? We already have enough beggars as it is. I don't really want to see more people who feel encouraged to ask for hand outs.

I think we really need to stress the words "Hard-core Economy Server".

 

Builders can literally make 1k (ish) by voting, and going to the market. With the correct assistance this can happen, there is no need to give them money when they start off.

 

Learning how to make money is crucial point for our server to grow.

It starts from the beginning. Builders have to learn how to make money on their own, and progress from there. They need to expose themselves to the mining world, sg, and other quick, easy ways of making money. Even with voting, it is still important for them to learn how to make money, and they likely wont know how to vote until they meet a good mayor who teaches them.

Also, this is coming from experience. If you don't learn how to make money early on, there is a higher likelihood you may become a scammer. Players who are given free items, free support, and other free things, will one day not be able to rely on these boosts one day. They will turn to scamming; a road I know all too well. Giving them the free 1k to start off will get the a plot, sure, that's good. However, if they get a free plot, what do they do from there?
