There's far too much support, reasoning, and strong points behind the argument to take it away. In all reasonable circumstances, it won't be back anytime soon.
What do you do when someone posts something funny on facebook? You click the like button, don't you? Because there are no other choices. Now the choice to rate funny is gone, use one of the other available ratings.
My point is that the funny rating should be back because some people couldn't take the heat. "If the kitchen gets to hot. Leave". File a complaint. We have a section for that.
Plus the fact that, you really can't file a complaint because someone rated your post. "Ban blt! She rated my post creative! Harassment! Ban ban ban!"
*Giant buzzer sounds, post is invalid* Still wouldn't work, for obvious reasons. Andrew does not set the world standard for humor, if he started deciding what's "funny" and what's not, stuff would be thrown into disaster.
If you feel you are being trolled you can file a complaint. Trolling is against the rules and if you feel a user is violating that rule, you have very right to file a complaint.
What about those countless "funny" posts on Appeals/Complaints? And I really don't think the trolling rule fits here. If I think something is funny, that's my opinion. It's like saying I'm trolling you by laughing at your "why did the chicken cross the road, to get to the other side" joke.
Exactly. I don't find that funny because its a first grade joke but, if someone found that as trolling, I don't even know.
Like I said. If I think your complaint is funny or your first grade joke is funny, there's not much difference, it's my opinion, I'm not trolling.
Don't worry, you are not the only one. I miss the funny rating just like Dracula misses volunteering at a blood drive, and like how the squatch misses his beef jerky.
If people could then it wouldn't have gotten removed. Really, just move on, funny ratings are gone and they will not return. Your life will not end because you have to use "like" or "creative" or something instead.
