I like this idea, would really help out the many mayors of ECC. I remember when I was griefed that no kidding, 15 mins later, wewinagain was there. I do reject the idea of keeping a important privilege only to super mods. Would be seriously helpful and less supermod time eating on lowly builders like I once was.
Here, then lets take the middle road, for all you extremists allow normal mods to check for the grief
It needs to stay controlled and centralized. If mayors do it they will just remove their problem and pass it on to another town. If mods do they can ban the problem from the server.
Maybe a compromise between Moofink and Siepherimcraft would be the best for the server. An example would be only presidents that have been around for 3 months that go through an thorough application process. Though maybe it doesn't have to be this drastic, but the point is to make the ability severely handicapped. And then even all this is on a trial period, where if problems arise, the idea is scratched. This would prevent access to the common person very much limiting drama, angst... etc. Also, in order to not negatively affect the server, a handicap in the form of block checks per hour could be imposed, maybe even as low as three an hour.
If any one griefs in my town even if is one block They get kicked (most of my towns grief reports the logs were deleted or not found) My thought if you have morels to grief one block you will grief a house with not one thought of pity for who built it
