Hm, I like this idea. And this way, in any complaints, the SA team already knows about them, so can permanently ban them if it seems that they're falling back into the same pattern despite the completely clean slate. Or otherwise ban them/warn them.

+1 if the appeals go through SA team privately.

 

But they can just appeal and then not play on that account. They can play on an alt and not tell anyone and they'll be fine. It doesn't need anything at all from the server. It can already be done.

 

If they are permad then they should not alt account. If the banned user wants to actually do good on the server and start a fresh then I am all for it, but I think it is just too risky, as there can be the sneaky user that can pretend to be a banned user but be another banned user who were banned for more severe reasons (Istomp is an example), I feel this is too risky so it's a -1 from me.

A very fair point. That is an option. And since severe offenses are usually handled by the SA+ team directly privately anyhow, this is really already an option. I guess maybe the only point of this suggestion ultimately would be to allow users to know this is an option? It should occur to anyone thinking critically that it is, but kuke you know people don't usually actually end up thinking much. Especially post drama.

 

I think the biggest problem here is the fact that an alt costs money. Most people stuck in drama don't have alts, and the ones who do have them use them to bypass bans.

 

If they actually want a clean slate, they have the option of appealing, THEN perhaps they can go on an alt legally. But giving them the ability to bypass their bans? No. This will be abused.

Phys, you're one of the most caring people I know, but this can't happen.

 

-1, Users are banned for a reason. I don't think that they should be able to come back without making a ban appeal. Users who get banned could come back on alts, and do some very serious damage.
