    Suggestion:
Adding a "Ban Appeal" Template on the forums.
    Reason:
I have seen many ban appeals on the forum, and many players on the forums unsure about how to make a ban appeal on the forum (mostly builders), and their appeals usually get rejected 100% of the time when they use the wrong format. I think that it would be much better to have an easier way to create a ban appeal with less effort, because not many players know how to make a ban appeal.
    Any Other Information:
If you look at the "Builders+" Section of the forums (Where builders can apply for resident), there is an easy way to apply for resident, by just filling in the information in the boxes. Using the same template that player applications use, there would be less "Ban Appeal Spam" in the Ban appeal section. The ban appeals would be more organized, and easier to read. Also, I think that this should be added with many other forum sections, such as the suggestion section itself.

The sticky thread explicitly says "Please read"

People need to learn to read before they can appeal, simple as that.

    Yeahhhhh....

But really...who reads all that when they first join :p

Now honestly, if we go along with what you and pbrassat said, why should we have those templates for applying for ranks? Why not just remove them and mark some post "please read"?

It's not a bad idea, but if you really wanted to get unbanned, you would read what you were supposed to beforehand.

Dont make it easy for people to appeal, they are already lucky to have a second chance.

Totally agree. Just like when someone gets banned, before they can appeal their ban, they need to read the rules to find out what they did wrong.

RyanJF1 , you also have 800 ratings... should i ruin that for you and make it 801...?

No... I'll leave your awesome number in peace xD

I think the format should be im more depth instead of just reason and counter reason. Like so.

    IGN:
    Who were you banned by:
    Why were you banned:
Do you have any evidence of this ban:

Some people don't know exactly who they were banned by, and sometimes they don't even know why they were banned! The appeal should only change as much to make sure the person reads the rules over again to know exactly what they did wrong so that they can then appeal.

Bans show who banned you and why you were banned.
While you think it is funny, it kind of makes sense. If a user has been banned for a long time, chances are that their player.dat file has been deleted. Therefore, it removes them from "/seen" and the staff team cannot see why they were banned. Though, we do go through past complaints and eventually find out why.

I suppose that makes sense. But most people have not been banned for a long time when they appeal.

And what happens if they were banned by a mod for something, with no complaints?

In the case that there is no evidence on the forums or in our records, their ban is too old to act upon. For example, if you advertised, you get banned. If you wait a few months to appeal, it can clear you from "/seen" and you will remain banned as there is no proof that you actually advertised. We don't remember everyone that we ban, so they could be lying and actually x-rayed or something or the sort.

Seems a little bit inefficient. You need to keep a record somewhere...

It is unnecessary for records to be kept. If it mattered to the banned player they would have appealed earlier.

Back to topic, if someone wants to be unbanned they should read. And perhaps the best solution is not to get banned in the first place, then you have no problem.

I'd don't prefer to judge for everyone that doesn't file an appeal right away, but there could be a myriad amount of reasons why someone doesn't appeal right away. And why does it matter if they care or not? They want back now, why not keep a record in the first place so you don't have to go through the hassle now.

Maybe the player didn't appeal because they knew they could file an appeal in a month or two and the records would be gone.
