I feel like instead of losing stuff because of crashing, lagging, server reset... You should be penalized 1k or some money amount because there are so many loggers I think pvp might be filled with lumberjacks xD
I'd love to give you a full history, but I don't think mods would like it if I listed out every warning, punishment, ban, and otherwise. If your EXTREMELY curious to know, then pm me and I will give you a list. But seriously, it's not hard to find, just go the ban appeals and complaints section, type in someones name, and Ta-da. Full history of that person.
I don't know how well some of the plugins may do it but they can test to see if you lag out and won't act as if you logged. Also they will not act as if you logged because of a restart
See exactly like this logging is trolling people taking away money they earned and shouldn't be in our economy
Most of the plugins have a feature that only kills your NPC if it is manually disconnected from the server, therefore if you crash; I'm sure you will not lose your items. However, the plugin can also be edited to fit the needs of the server.
PvP is part of the economy. PvP equipment is bought and sold. But if were in the mood of saying stuff isnt a part of the economy lets just make it so you dont win money from sg cause thats a minigame and even though people make money from it lets take away their chance at getting money. This point just makes no sense pvp is a part of the economy and needs to be addresed as such. So to conclude it all i feel like ECC needs to give pvp a chance. Its a part of the server and its something a lot of people enjoy. With ECC pvp it brings this whole new aspect to it being the economy. Personally that's what drew me to it and if ECC put a little more effort into pvp it would bring such a vast amount of new people to ECC and start to regain what it was before mcmmo. For me this is like a first step i have confidence that ECC can improve itself extremely by working on pvp a little bit. To me i see no reason to not get a plugin like this. I also really do want to encourage some people to come to pvp see what we do, see what we deal with. Well thats dumb it cut off the first half xD
You base this on the fact that people come to pvp knowing they're gonna log. If this were true we would see people going in fighting and logging when they get low. This doesn't happen. Instead we get people who 'spawn camp' they walk in for a second hit someone and go out. Eventually what happens when they do this is they get hit in and log because they didn't want to fight yet they've gone in the arena but they expected to be the only ones hitting. As for it attracting new people it would no other server has connected economy and pvp like ECC has currently improving pvp would for sure lead to more people because of its uniqueness.
Yes a plugin will create lag. I do encourage you though to come to pvp at a busy time and see the amount of people there even just stopping by randomly you could catch the rush. As for it not being busy enough why dont you stop by the aether and say hello to the whole 0 people there all day. People are so negative to pvp look around you there are worse things on ECC that no one takes a second look at.
I'm sorry, lol, I just can't sit here and watch these points be brought out, it's in my nature to debate *facepalm*. 1. Pvp is not a large part of the economy. It's a minor part. And question here, if it's already a large part, how would upgrading it bring more people? It's already a large part isn't it? We've already connected it like no other, haven't we? 2. Almost everything else has more people doing it. I could give you pictures of PVP 100% empty. I could never, ever, ever, give you a picture of SG/HG 100% empty. 3. ECC = Economy. Pvp is a mini-game just like HG. You earn money off of both, yes, but not as a main way of making cash. Yes, some people use PVP as a main way, and some people use SG/HG as a main way as well. But there are far better ways of making money. 4. If PVP was a huge thing on ECC, we would already have this plug-in, we would have arenas without McMMO, and the EXP market wouldn't be flapping around in the wind.
Actually Andrew would most likely not get random plugins without people wanting them. Everybody likes sg more because it's won a with a few donations and in pvp you must work for success. Pvp is empty most of the time because people don't stay there 24-7 so when ever you go on and look at pvp, you obviously don't stay long enough to see people that come, riku posted screen shots of a lot of people at PVP so point 2 is invalid.
Jason1964 please read other post because you're going to get the same response as the points you've listed have been said before it a variation of them.
i have seen sg empty alot sg is bigger then pvp but only because u have to work hard for pvp sg is easy in pvp u need to train swords acro axes etc u put hardwork and hours into pvp and all these things you have said before... pvp may not be a bigger feature but there is a reason why good pvpers like myself get angry and upset over loggers/looters and quit if there was a anti logger plugin i believe it would draw more pvpers in so they dont have to worry about waiting 3 hours for a logger -.-
You've seen SG empty a lot? I haven't seen it empty ONCE. If you can give me one photo, just one photo (not taken RIGHT before or RIGHT after a restart) of SG 100% empty, I'll turn around and support this suggestion.
