I'm going to put aside my argument when it comes to the GA's doing this for a second and ask another question. Lets say Player A scams Player B out of 80k. Player A gets banned and we go to transfer the money, he only has 30k. That is 50k left over that is owed to Player B. When Player A goes to appeal does he have to pay off the rest of that money?

And adding to that, what if that person needed the 30K that was taken from them to make money faster, like rent a melon sword or EFF7?

 

While I like this concept of this idea, I think that there is a better execution for this. I like everything that has been stated, except for the fact that this would apply for all scams. In my opinion, since in this case I will be describing, the scammed player would have no chance at getting their money back. This system should only apply to users who were scammed by permanently banned users, who have a very slim chance of appeal and a long tempban with that to have everything returned to them. In most cases, the player who scams is required to pay the money back within a certain amount of time, but if the user is permanently banned, with no chance of appeal, then the scammed user really cannot receive their money back. This would also limit the number of these transactions that can take place, because I see GameAdmins being the only people who would be able to do this. If items were scammed, that would be more difficult from what I've seen, because the user who scammed could put it in a chest and it would almost disappear. One thing left for discussion from this is what justifies this to be used (how long would the tempban have to be in order for the scammed user to receive their money or items)?

TLDR: I suggest only using this with users who have been scammed by players who have been banned with no appeal or have a long tempban (up for discussion on how long).

Andrew doesn't manually take money out of a user's account to promote them. From my understanding, KHobbits developed a simple command to promote and take the money out of your account. However, in the case of a mayor app, Andrew is needed to place the town to the corresponding coordinates.

 

GAs can use specially created commands to do town, shop and rank apps.

 

I don't think andrew would let us have control over people's balances like that, it can be easily exploited. Just one GA messing up could cause a large problem. With the commands we currently use we follow a set order of things and we don't have direct control over balances. For towns and shop we have a command that takes a set amount out of someone's balance, the amounts are decided by andrew's config file.
