    Occasionally, when I break a block or get enter a ghost bock, my screen goes like this:


    Any ideas as to whats going on here? The only modifications to my minecraft is that I have optifine installed.

    This has happened to me in a similar manner before when using optifine. Try changing the "chunk loading" option in "video settings" to "default".

    How much memory do you have assigned here?:

    I have encountered this problem before when mine was set to 2 and it was fixed when I assigned more memory, so that might fix the problem you are having too. Hope this helps.

    I had the same problem, what fixed it for me was Turning "VBO's" on/off. On if already off and off if already on.

    Yeah, VBOs are an experimental feature and for some people it does work, solve problems and even give an FPS boost. and for some others it does quite the opposite.
