I say efficiency 7 pick. You can make $20K/hour mining. From what I've been told, you can only make around $5k/hour fishing but it depends on your fishing level with McMMO.

 

I don't know much about the star rod but theoretically you could make up the 15k difference talked about by shrinkwrap4me with XP. Both are fairly reliant on finding/catching something at random so for me I feel like it's a toss up. You should go with the one you think you'll have the most fun with because no one wants to be bored making cash for hours on end. That being said, I think the star pick is a lot of fun.

You should note that you might want to get extcommands+ if you're going to invest in an expensive enchanted weapon (; with extcommands+ donation feature, you can restore enchanted tools to full durability). It's an $100 value if you don't have extcommands. In ECD, this equates to $600,000 (about the same price as the star pick itself).

 

Fishing Rod, Not 5k/hour, Lol 16-17k/hour (Including exp, according to TomKellyCreeper, and actuall owner of a star rod) Even thou mining makes 20k/hour and Fishing on 16k-17k Its so much safer and for the Star rod you dont need Pyro+ (180k) Fly (360k) or ExtCommands+ (600k)

But to be completely realistic. Yeah, star rod is completely worth it/best option right now. (Until "changes".)

 

Why do you say nerf?

 

It's just speculation based on the fact that the star rod doesn't provide money but XP. If enough people get it and start throwing XP into the market, price of XP will plummet. No one will be buying XP, only selling. This will lead to decreases in the prices of enchanted tools probably because XP/Enchants are directly related to one another. If this continues, XP will become so cheap that builders will be able to pick up a max fort/silk pick with ease before Resident.

Thus there will be a change required before it goes too far. But I don't think it'll happen soon but it seems like it will eventually. It should also be noted that once XP prices drop, the actual profit made off a star rod will also drop. Once that happens there will be more viable options to make money at that point.

 

You will make more per hour with an eff 7, however fishing is 1000x easier. If I were you I would go for an eff 7 first.

 

I'd suggest getting erepairs before you get a star tool. It takes a total of 2 seconds for a user to stop in the middle of repairing your star tool and just log off with it.

If u do get a star tool without ereps like i did use trusted users or mods and take screen shots or videos i use a mod or domz who is awesome and super trustworthy or raccooy (who is the one that sold my da pick) who is also super nice and trustworthy. If u were u i would get the eff7.

Hey Tiny, I am going to offer you a word of advice.

I say the star rod, and it is just from past experience. I see you don't have too many donations, and that is basically essential for an Eff 7. Fishing, unlike mining, you can do while multi tasking. I use just a regular max rod, and do my home work at the same time, it's great! I would get that star rod to start off with, then save up for Pyro+, Fly+, and you should be good from there for an Eff 7. Also, keep in mind these things take a long time, so don't get beaten up if it's being slow, just work hard!

 

I would say a EFF 7, You can mine with it, and do big clearing jobs with it, an make money off mining an working for people.

 

Soo... star rod before msword?

 

Based on the numbers that are being thrown out there currently, star rod is the safest and most profitable currently. If you can buy it soon-ish (before any changes happen to the rod or fishing) then you'll be able to re-coop your costs and more.
