Thursday or Friday I used a spawner and moved it. When I broke it, it disappeared. I didn't know what to do, so I contacted A_man. He came and looked, and told me yeah it broke but there was nothing anyone could do. I wasn't going to post about it because of that, but I see that someone else had an issue earlier this week also. It was a villager spawner that belongs to Nateeeeee, and I've been trying to find one to replace it since. If it can be restored, that would be fantastic, since I really feel this was not my error, that it was a game bug.
@KiwiAngelTwist We, Nyte and I, had a similar thing happen to us a few days ago. The spawner completely disappeared and we couldn't find it, then it suddenly reappeared on the ground. This happened over the course of about 3 minutes.
I stayed and looked for nearly 15 minutes afterwards :/ During that time (within the first 3 minutes) A_man came and helped look also. Could it be because of the lag, you think?
@KiwiAngelTwist the one that we had that disappeared was actually a village spawner also, we dropped it down onto netherrack. Not sure if any of that is relevant but just in case. Like I said ours did reappear after a few minutes.
The only thing I could figure is that there was a minute chance that as soon as it dropped it despawned. Nateeeeee suggested that might be the case, and I have had things that dropped and instantly despawn, just nothing this aggravatingly important. Ah well, wish I knew.
its called butcher, when items on the ground despawn. sometimes it happens right when people break/throw stuff. thats how startools have been lost in the past by users and what not. its just a sucky occurence
I do know that items have just disappeared after itemizing them. I tried to relog, I immediately got someone over to help, and I scoured the area with A_man for a while before giving up. Other than that, I'm not sure what to say/do. I even found a few others who apparently similar things happened. I even entertained the notion that the villagers might've picked it up, but that sounds even stupider than the other crazy explanations.
Was it over slabs? Just curious As i have had items completely vanish when thrown on a slab. Out of Inv. On ground vanish. Check inventory Nothing. Check area again Nothing. No item plops queue sound i play with it on. And then it appears in inv and not my empty hand
