Oh, that was you Billybue24? Many thanks. I plan on rising diamond prices to $27.50/per because of recent popular demand by others, not jsut you billy.
updated added coal to shop, waiting for one quartz ore to put up for display before i can officially add it to the shop
hearing many requests for potions my answer: i need a good day, with nothing scheduled, so tha ti can just put my focus on potions for at least one day to restock. if i get a snow day and im off from school tomorrow and have no school work to do, i'll be busy brewing potions. if it really comes down to the point that i have to start not making potions at all, then so be it hopefully within the next few weeks, station 38 will get more involved in all the exp and nstar business on those top floors. seem to be making good profit from those these past few weeks.
updated again somebody bought out all my lapis blocks for $972, and my diamonds for $577.50, and i just went mining today... o.o
You seem to be working hard to make your shop as successful as possible . I also like your current design for your shop more than the one you had before with red sand xD. Good Luck!
When I had my shop as a bottom floor I was very successful, I used it almost like a bank, I had my front signs selling nether stars, ex, and diamonds,a swell as buy signs for each of those. Then, I had sell signs for all ores/ingots besides coal and buy signs corresponding. I had 150k in my front three buy signs, and 75k in each of my signs for ores and ingots. These are the most used items I would say. My first day using a shop a gained a 25k profit, the second day was 15k and then it cooled out to about 10k for a few then 2-5k a day. Some tips are: 1. Make your shop look appealing 2. Only sell the import things. 3. Don't fool around with these Mickey Mouse priced items, if it sells for less then .50 I would avoid it. 4. ADVERTISE. Advertise with a professional and organized advert, and make sure to provide TPs to the shop. 5. Don't be discouraged. If you don't sell for a few days, no big deal, just move on. 6. Base your prices slightly lower then the top floor shops lowest. The biggest problem with bottom floor shops is no one wants to walk all the way down in a laggy market, so find a top floor shop and make you prices slightly lower, if the latest price to sell exp for is 2.7k in top floor shops, make yours 2.6k. This could be he difference between selling out in one night or holding onto something for a month. Good luck and I am glad to see a bottom floor shop owner doing this!!
OJ, those are some excellent tips and very kind of you to share that information. If I could stand the lag and the bottom floor shop prices were a little more fair (I wish there was a 3 tier price schedule) I would consider opening a shop in the market as well. Sharing your experience is helpful to all.
Original, I had a bottom floor spawn shop once. I never advertised, and I sold crops and ores. I made over 40k in the 4 weeks I had with the shop, as at the time my diamonds were the cheapest (at $28 each) and I made a lot of money off of gold that was also cheap at the time ($15 each).
