    I'm not really that big of a gamer, but I've been looking into today's biggest gaming consoles and I just wanted to know what the benefits and drawbacks of each of them are.

    -From what I've seen, the XBOX and the PS4 are comparable or almost completely identical when it comes to hardware xD
    -Both have a good collection of games (MS has their killer games and Sony has theirs)
    -Both have you pay for online access? (wth? you pay $400-500 already xD) but if you use bing, you don't really have to buy online as your searches will probably pay for it.
    -From what I' ve seen, Xbox can connect to your cable (if you use cable) and you can watch TV and do two things at once I.E. skype and gaming.
    -PS4 is about to get a PS4 streaming box for $99 where you can remotely access your PS4 from a different room in your house without buying a new console xD
    -As for you, Nintendo, just release your hit games (pokemon/gold/black/green/blahblahblah..., mario/kart/party/sports) on iOS and android and I guarantee you that you would be like one of the richest game companies in the world xD Stop making gaming consoles and keeping those games only on your system!

    I believe both have their pros and cons, but I've never really experienced both of them. Which one do you think is better and for what reason? Please no console fights without a valid argument xD Also, I'm not including PCs here as if you beef up a PC enough, it would run better than any console on the market assuming you have the money :p

    I am sick and tired of this argument and for the sake of the poster of this thread, readers, and myself, I am not going to rant.

    Both consoles are exceptional.
    Xbox One focuses mainly on Entertainment through multimedia whether that be games, netflix, hulu, internet, or tv.
    PS4 also offers entertainment through gaming and netflix, internet, and many other programs that both the Xbox and PlayStation share, but it is not MADE to be a TV Box, or it's own entertainment system (other than games) like the Xbox is.
    This being said I personally have an Xbox but have 10's of hours on both consoles. They are both great at what they're meant to do, they both are very smooth, responsive systems, and they all have their pros and cons because they are made to do different things.

    PS4: 9/10 (Primarily gaming with multimedia entertainment available as a secondary) Difference being that PlayStation is meant for playing.


    XboxOne: 9/10 (Focuses on connecting to all aspects of entertainment including games) Difference being the XboxOne is meant for an all in one piece of technology.

    Yep, I'm done already. That fast.
    With the time I saved by not ranting I can now spend my time doing other productive stuff.
    I'll sign up for Geico; fifteen minutes could save you fifteen percent or more on car insurance!

    I've heard mixed reviews of the xbox one, but I've yet to here anything had about ps4. Most of them have to do with performance (Xbox was kind of rushed into the market and therefore still has some bugs and kinks in it). That aside, they both seem to have the same qualities.

    sorry xD It just occurred to me when I was playing around with my Cousin's PS4 and he was hating on the xbox one xD Thx for sorting out some of the differences :)

    That's probably the case. I believe MS made a completely new OS based off windows 8 and their older 360 OS from the ground up and Sony went completely original and started with a linux kernel xD
