Found another WTC in Legacy (x8000 z-5750). Makes me wonder how many of these have been built. Also, shame on everyone who didn't post /warps or coords. I want to check these things out in game.
Actually, this one is located in /warp TwinTowers. It is also built by the great builder himself, @jbertig !
@spaenjj I built this one in 2015, and it wound up being a test run for /warp Regalis' World Trade Center. This model fills 1/4 of the town, vs over half in Regalis. I'll post a pic of their relative sizes! I built it for @AdmiralD in his town, twintowers as a small tribute just before the anniversary that year, it only took a couple weeks. The iron blocks in those towers alone is worth a Tycoon rank. Regalis' WTC was built to be economic and useful for the things we do in ECC, without being a huge loss if it were griefed, whereas this WTC is more of a hands-off trophy build! Admiral and I have been friends since this build!
@spaenjj here's a comparison, same camera height and more or less centered on the two towns. Tower 1 in the Regalis version doesn't have its antenna cuz its roof is practically at the height limit, if that gives an idea on how much bigger the project was, aside from the obvious difference relative to the towns. Each tower in the bigger project encloses 27x27 blocks, vs 15x15 in the original. They pretty much layer a 200x200 town's worth of 27x27 plots from sea level to the height limit, haha! I'd love to do the bigger ones in iron blocks, but that's over $3.2 million worth of iron @AdmiralD This really hit home how big that new complex is! It's enormous!
They're both really cool builds. I like the size comparison pic, interesting to see the difference. Good work!
/warp minetopia and its suburbs (/warp: yachtville, zoo, earlington, woodbury, fall, outerspace) Still very much a work in progress. You can see the framing for outerspace, will eventually be completely covered. Yachtville is coming along, but it is taking @KingCharlie9 forever to finish the aircraft carrier. Zoo is looking very, very nice. Top left is unclaimed as of yet, haven't thought of a good name for it. Fall has begun having ocean removed, but that turns out to be a huge project. Let me know if you want to help with any of this, I'll pay you way too much.
