If KH was misinformed about how the winners would be chosen, then it's not his fault.
For the whole entire competition, the stats were organized by points, and not wins.
For someone like miner1975, who put in more than 7 1/2 hours into the tournament, would've won 9th place, a great accomplishment in a competition like this. However, his 7 1/2 hours were completely wasted, as the standings were organized by wins in the end.
If we were at least somewhat informed about how this competition was ran, then people wouldn't have used /kit buffer and then left the arena when str2 ran out.

On a side note, what we learned from this:

• It's ok to boost for points
• Boosters will not get punished if they have enough wins

 

I apologize for the confusion regarding this event. The fact of the matter is, KHobbits was only doing technical work for the competition. I did not think to inform him on how winners would be chosen because at the time it didn't seem relevant. That being said, all I can really add is that I did mess up by not putting forward the information regarding how people would win. I promise that the next server event will have a full list of rule and a specific outline of how people will be judged so there is absolutely no confusion.

As for the boosting, in the future we will make our stance on that a lot more clear. If the boosting that occurs effects the competition then it will be disallowed, especially if it involves using multiple accounts that do not actually play but simply enter the arena to die.

I will be taking this as a learning experience to be honest. I am new to hosting server events and clearly made a few mistakes. I understand that these mistakes have upset a large number of people, but I hope that we can all look forward because like all learning experiences it means the next event will be hosted much better and smoother.
