Whether spectators are visible or not is not the issue. Its... okay for example: Core_Diver goes into SG 2. I go into Spectate. I then spectate about and say "Hey Core, Kuke is hiding in Andrew's mansion near the pool table." Core then goes and kills Kuke. I have thus given Core an unfair advantage.
And of course, you could then make it so spectators can't type in chat. So, of course, I then log into Skype or TS or whatever and tell him there.
Spectate causes and allows for cheating. Thats just a fact.

In the case of finding people after they die, if they actually were good at sneak attacking they would be crouching. It would be hard to just go everywhere and run into everyone. Also, lets face it, if you had a wood sword and leather armor and had to sneak attack someone with iron things, you would have no chance unless they were looking in a chest. -

I think that the idea is awesome but I agree with the others about the cheating thing.
How about the spectator can't see everyone but if they wanted to see someone then they can ask them in a command or something.
For example:
/sg watch (Username)
/sg allow (Username)
Or something like that.
So then if someone wants to watch you, you can control it!-

Hiding is a viable strategy when chests haven't refilled yet, because when they refill, you can get better armour and you would have a fighting chance. You can't hide with a spectator following you around. -

I don't see how why people are complaining about it being unfair... cough cough kits cough cough

If people want to cheat and give away positions, let them. Even with an advantage like this, a normal user still will have a hard time getting the upperhand on someone with kits. The server that I play SG's on has spectators enabled, and I have noticed no problems from it.

1. Core sneaks up on Kuke and kills him while Kuke isn't paying attention.
2.Kuke notices Core and is still killed by Core.
3.Kuke notices Core and then kills Core
4.Kuke escapes from Core and they both make it out alive.
All of these are possible options as they are commonplace in SG games. With the first example I gave, it would not be an unfair advantage given to Core because Kuke should have noticed someone running at him with intent to kill. There is no way having spectators would alter Kuke's ability to notice Core running at him. In the second example Core must have had an advantage whether it be better gear or that he is better at combat. In the third example Kuke would have had the advantage instead of Core. In the fourth example Kuke must have had a way to escape Core or noticed Core before he ever got close enough to kill him. While the spectator can give away the position of Kuke after he runs away, Core still has to succesfully get there, and if he does the four possible scenarios will repeat until either Kuke or Core dies.
Having a spectator help you is similar to having a caddy help you in golf. While the spectator can give the position of an opponent and advice on how to kill them, they will never be directly involved in the combat itself. In golf a caddy can tell the player how they should hit the ball, the best club to use, and assist them with other things. But in the end the player is the one that is doing the action. Whether that action be hitting a ball with a golf club or killing another player in the SG games. Without a spectator helping a player in the SG games they are still fully capable to win. Just like a golf player is fully able to win without a caddy.-

Unlike regular SG you would have someone tracking people for you. Lets say Core is sitting hiding for a bit. Meanwhile, I am spectating for him. I go and look at each player and then say "Hey Core, Kuke is in leather armor and has no weapon in his hands. You should kill him first. He is located behind KHobbit's statue" Is that fair? Would that advantage be normal in normal SG? No it wouldn't and it certainly isn't fair. -

This could really be a thing on ECC, but first we have to solve the problems.
Let's start with the cheating problem.
They should make it so that the people playing in sg are invisible to spectators. Then lets say that they can only view one player, or two if the player they were viewing was hitting another player. But that brings up another problem. How would you do something like that? All that I know is that so far you can't do that. -

In the new snapshot just real eased there is a /gamemode three. Aka spectator mode. Go watch a video on it. I don't know if this would work

I think you guys are really missing the point here. If people are camping they would be able to see if someone was coming. However I do see people using this to cheat but, I would rather have someone trying to sneak up on me then two people going after me.

Ok maybe if there was a separate arena? a spectating arena? then you could cheat, but it would just make it more interesting. If you did that then maybe it would be like a totally different game. but at least it would be fun!

(Also SG Games means Survival Games Games... I think that was kukelekuuk00's point.)
I don't think this is a good idea because there is really no way to moderate the cheating between player and spectator.
