I won't say I agree or disagree since I don't really care for SG anymore, but I will state that the prestige system might be changed in the near future, so this isn't really a good time for this to be added.
I don't SG, so I don't want to comment on the actual value of SG rewards. That said, I don't see what the fact the prestige is changing has to do with this. Proper cash prizing will keep the prestige competitive by enticing players who already have the prestige to play. Regardless of what the prestige ends up being, not handing the prestige to whoever wants it seems like an important factor.
What I meant when I said it and probably what @Ancastal meant as well is SG is in a testing phase right now with prestige (for iirc one more week). I don't play SG that much to see if the payout is good or not, but if the prestige system is getting changed to make it easier, then it is hard to pinpoint what would be a good payout would be to balance it with the prestige (prestiges as I believe it will be getting two). In short, IMO waters should be tested first before a change like this should be implemented.
Right now sg prestige is only up for grabs by 16 people who were meant to have a tournament to see who gets the prestige. There is no current way for any1 to prestige through sg. just those 16 players. It isnt easier, those 16 players just have a different way of fighting for their prestige now rather then a tournament that was originally planned.
Exactly. That's why I said this isn't the time to change it as it wouldn't benefit everyone yet. Staff has said they would most likely chance the SG prestiges after that tournament, so it isn't beneficial to change it during the tournament and it probably isn't wise to change it at the same time as the semi-future prestige change.
