Lemme put this quite simply here... 1 level of sharpness = ~1 heart (2 hit points) extra damage on hit on average... ...and each tier of sword is half a heart (1 hit point) extra damage... ...When the best we can get as non-kit users is an iron sword, that buff is taking MIQ to a whole new overpowered level. Keep in mind that though MIQ users will be negatively effected by this armor fix, so are we as non-kit users. To buff MIQ to be as powerful as it used to be, you're only increasing the distance between normal users and kit users in terms of "balance." The last thing that needs to happen is to make MIQ any more powerful than it already is. Don't underestimate the power of each level of sharpness - 2 levels of sharpness is insane enough as it is, even after this change. This is a much needed bug fix I've been awaiting for a very long time. But while numbers show that it negatively effects kit users, what the numbers actually equate to in terms of player tactics and abilities does not effect us non-kit users in our favor. Certainly, Kit buffer/MIQ together isn't as powerful as it once was, but buffing MIQ is the wrong way to answer that call: That's just buffing MIQ, not the combo itself, which means in lingers even after the effects of buffer have worn off. Buffing buffer is a better idea, but I can't say I'd support that idea either. To be perfectly honest, kit users are more powerful than ever now. With it taking extra hits to defeat opponents now, there will be much more of an emphasis on bows and slowing running, (fire) things much more easily obtained by kits. Buffer is a temporary effect to be powerful, but the bows and fire are all throughout the game. Sorry if this is a bit disjointed, I took out a paragraph and some of it kind of refers to it. Too lazy to fix that. >.>
"fixing sg" lol. What is there left to fix? And dont even whine to me about kits making life unfair lol.
Miq is all of sudden very weak. No doubt CC is better. MIQ needs a buff, or it needs to be lowered to $15.
Agreed. At first, I really liked the thought of the changes but after experiencing the new changes I feel that miq is now worthless (or worth less than $25).
The pay to win business model is terrible, and you are in no way going to ever convince me that it is not. Not to mention, kits are not the only problem our current SG system has. And this "whining" you are referring to is simply me arguing my position, which is not uncommon when change is being pushed for. So until you have something meaningful to add to any argument, just stay out.
After playing some more SG today 1 of 2 things need to happen: 1) Make CC $25 and Miq $20 or $15. CC is now no doubt better than MIQ 2) Do as you suggested and buff MIQ.
Since the changes to SG were implemented, I have noticed that kit CC, particularly the bow is now way more effective, and powerful than MIQ. That said, MIQ, in my opinion does not need a buff. The kit is still quite powerful, and will still do more damage than a typical iron sword if I'm not mistaken. After reading many of the comments, I do believe that maybe a price change may be in order, but personally I believe that everything is fine just the way it is.
