That wasn't my point. *facepalm* If it was simple math, yes, we could just subtract them. But the brain is complex... It's influenced by other people, popularity, and many other things. I made my point in my other reply.
I suppose, I don't care to do the math, but no matter which week it was I'd still rather have a revote.
I agree. Also, some user/s were using trade chat to tell others to vote for a specific time. Obviously, when a newer player/unexperienced player sees a more "successful" player telling you to do something the newer users are going to listen. This was the case in this situation.
I just want to point out. The majority of the people saying we should re-vote have voted for something either than 10-16. If you asked the people who voted for 10-16, they'd say the vote was fair, when in reality, the same thing happened on BOTH sides. Honestly, at this point, the votes are pretty fair. Hear me out before you smash this thought of mine. Both sides have been very close in this "vote race" since the beginning. Both sides have used alt accounts, in similar numbers. Subtracting the alt accounts, which we can clearly distinguish, we still have a clear winner. Both sides had players using trade chat to tell other players to vote for one side or the other. I'd like to stress that there were many different contributors to how this poll turned out, BUT, both sides were subjected to a similar number of negative variables. I would not mind if this event was set to something in the middle, such as Wednesday-Tuesday, or something like that, BUT, ********I would prefer to keep the winning date atm as it won the vote********
But there still was a physchological impact on the players (via the alts). If a preidential election is rigged, it doesn't just end at "we'll subtract the rigged votes" because a lot of those non-rigger votes would come after seeing one guy winning over the other. People say to themselves "oh, everyone likes him, let me vote for him." It doesn't matter who wants the re-vote, because by that logic I'm sure the people who don't want it are the ones who voted the 10-16th. This is a future suggestion for polls -- make voting percentages private.
Im still saying it's too close the competition was announced yesterday how is someone supposed to get ready in 2 days
Well, I suppose if we had it tomorrow, the hackers wouldn't have time to add their hacks /half kidding
Just one thing to keep in mind (and I'll return to my spectating in silence): No matter how hard anyone tries, there is no way to make everyone happy for an event on a global scale. Life happens. Vacations happen! Plans come up, and things conflict. People will always have a reason to want the date changed. There's just no way it can fit everyone's schedules. In the end, it's just a game...if you can make it for the whole week, two days, or no days at all, life will still go on. Go have fun at camps, on vacation, or hanging out with friends. ECC will still be there when you come home at the end of your day.
Let's stay on thread topic please. Two hours til polls close. Don't worry about alts or anything. Was just forum alts and all are known. Polls will be added correctly
if there was a choice to be made, and you didn't care about the outcome, wouldn't you vote for the most popular choice? -1 redo poll pl0x (and without 24-30)
Looks like it's happening starting tomorrow, according to the poll. Not sure if subtracting the alts will change that though. Yes. This. Like, guys. It's the summer... odds are, you aren't in school, and the weather is relatively nice out. Go outside and play some football with your friends, camp, go someplace fun... do SOMETHING. I know ECC is fun, but when it's the summer, it's your time to go have fun and get some Vitamin D outside. And while you may want to win this tournament, and I totally get that... if you are out a few days and don't end up winning a coupon for a game you probably aren't even going to be playing in a couple of years, so what. You had fun elsewhere, and that's good. I don't remember the last time I was on ECC for more than two and a half hours in one day. I am usually on for about an hour a day at most, maybe two, rarely. In the meantime, I'm sure having a good time so far this summer, and even though I voted on the poll, odds are I won't be playing very many games in this tournament, because I have things to do IRL. Sorry for my major ranting also sorry @goblizz for copying pretty much exactly what you said and talked to me about earlier xP
