there are a couple of things that would be an issue if the price went down, but I think that they need to be opened at random times again.
because right now people buy from the server store instead of from other players because that's the easy solution but if we were to open it at random times again people will try to find other solutions for the materials (like looking for player shops)

 

I whole-heartidly agree. It'd be a great expanse on the server-economy.

Also, perhaps have it rarely open as to not spoil the economy - anywhere from once a week to once a month.

 

I would like to see it open and close again, but Andrew simply doesn't have time. He stopped doing it a long time ago because he ran out of time to... And we were really small then. :/ I don't know how much he'd trust the staff to, either.

Oh, and anyone with jump commands or compass can break in and unfairly buy items when other users can't.

 

i like it open all the time because that's where i get all my stuff player shops are always out of stuff

 

It would be nearly impossible to track /home, jump commands, or compass into the shop. Back when shops open and closed, and we only had around 20 active users... We could barely keep track of just people who used /home. :/ Unless /home, jump, and compass were disabled in spawn completely (would be no fun in the long run), opening and closing shops again could just be a pain.
