When i use scaffolding, it kicks me out of the server and says 'Flying is not allowed on the server'.
@SwiftRaptor98 You're going to have to add a bit more info to help me replicate this issue 1. What version of MC are you running? 2. What are you doing when you get kicked? Are you going up or down the scaffolding, extending it, are you crouching at all? 3. Are you doing this in a wild, or in a town, if so does the town have any flags applied to it, what is the name of the town?
I am in 1.16.3 and I was on top of the scaffolding as I was building. Mainly when I extended the scaffolding sideways.
Hey @SwiftRaptor98 I've spent probably an hour over the last few days trying to replicate this on my alt account, and could not reproduce it. If possible could you upload a video to youtube that captures the exact steps you are doing to get kicked, thanks.
I deiced to mess around with this in game for a bit and found a way to reproduce it consistently. 1. I was in the wild on the main world, and used Minecraft 1.16.3. (Though I don't think this is significant to the bug.) 2. Turn off /fly if it is on. (You can't get kicked for flying if you're allowed to fly.) 3. Stack up some Scaffolding 20 blocks (20 isn't significant, this could be 100, just need to be off the ground far enough for scaffolding to fall if you build too far out.) 4. Climb to the top. 5. Place 7 Scaffolding out horizontally from the top one so that the first 6 stay, and 7th one falls. 6. Try to place 2 or more Scaffolding out horizontally quickly. The first one should fall correctly, the rest however should be floating there. 7. Stand on the floating Scaffolding and wait about 5 seconds. 8. Kicked for flying. I don't know if this is what specifically happened to Swift, or if there are other arrangements this can occur as well, but it seems the core issue is a Client / Server block desync. In this case caused by the Server not telling the Client to delete the extra Scaffolding placed off of the one that falls, since it should not have been possible in the first place. In all honestly it kinda feels like the Client should not even be trying to place Scaffolding out further than is possible in the first place, but that would be a Mojang thing. I decided to try this in a single player world following the same steps listed above, and the desync occurs even in single player! Though this only creates the desynced blocks, I don't get kicked for flying in this case.
@SwiftRaptor98 @Buadthan please let us know if you can reproduce this on your 1.15.2 client. As well, it's best to wait for our full 1.16.3 update before we are able to fully diagnose this issue. If you continue to experience this after our full update let us know.
What Buadthan is exactly the same as what happened to me. Kind of my fault, I should have gone more in-depth about the situation, sorry.
We are now running a completely different / revamped Anti-Cheat system. Please let us know if this issue continues.
