Rule Change: Nodus and Hacked Clients

Advocaite, don't needlessly tag administrators, they are very busy.

 

Wow people admit that they are using auto fish :S i feel so bad ... they destroyed fishing and they feel OK

 

im sorry but i want andrew to see this and not ignore this so i tagged him i think it is very important to game and server and relates to him as administrator if he dosent care and dosenot want to know about it then fine i wont bothher any more also where dose it say i cant tag him- zard you upset as this may relate to you or something only people who get upset about auto fishing auto anything are the people who need to use auto anything in first place thats my personal opinion. anyways i still state this is very bad allowing botting of this kind and or any kind

 

Andrew knows about this advocaite, don't worry about that. He does care, immensely so. That's why autofishing now gives almost no money, because fish are $10. That's one of the reasons why butchers are now automated for every 15 minutes, so people can't afk for the longest times.

He knows, he cares, and he has acted upon this.

 

well im just saying thats well and good but the best deterant is a ban you sure gonna think twice about it if u get perma banned arnt you

lets say i create a bot based off honorbuddy but for minecraft and i say have it use a shovel and just dig up all dirt and all sand i find sell hand when full and repair wep when near destroyed its not hard to do this and you dont need to modify client at all then what butcher dose not kill sand the bot will never make you afk you will never know and i just let it run all day long take breaks so makes me look like im human = bad bad bad also then have it set up to do diferant things i sware i need to make this just so minecraft see and other see the badness of this behaviour but i dont want to be baned i love this game and this server i just wish there would be a total no boting automation of any kind rule then id be happy as larry

 

I am bumping this, again, as it seems people are still using Nodus, and all ECC needs the reminding regarding hacked clients and their consequences.

 

So, I'm confused. Is auto-fishing or AFK fishing not allowed?

Dude Xray and afk fishing was NEVER allowed xD I've been on for 2 years and autofishing wasn't even allowed till semi-recently xD. Lol come on dude, think before you post or at least research

Nodus was never really /allowed/ per se. We just didn't enforce hacked clients until we got attacked. We let people use nodus for it's legal mod things like Full bright, auto fishing, and map. And to the mayor thing, enjoy a picture of me being a mod for the 5th time last year <3 .
I play the game because I enjoy the server and enjoy talking to people, I don't give a poop about ranking up C;

 

ECC had (and still has) a system that detects when players use xray (the way is a secret as well). So, when nodus was allowed, mods had to watch players carefully for these type of players. To be honest, when Nodus was allowed, I thought it was the most stupid decision ever...it seemed to cause hell for a couple weeks xD
