And as of right now, literally 0 people in SG. I don't see how this is broken. Surely if it were "broken" and "made too much" consistently, people would be playing it nonstop?
-1 most big kitters like me have spent 3mil+ on sg kits, and with the new prices, it would be like 7mil or something. Even if you have all these kits, it's very hard to make 40-60k an hour. Ik that I have used a melon seord before, and I had to pay almost no attention to what I was doing, just hold the mouse button down and turn every few mins. Sg takes 100% focus
-1 If you want to make 40-60k per hour in sg you have to have spent the equal to or more money then a star tool is worth. I myself usually make about 30k/hour when lots of people are playing it but i also have cc++,spy++, and buffer++, with additionally ea+. this add ups to 3.3million ecd or even 1.65million ecd during booster prices this is more money then a star tool and it rarely allows you to make more money then star tools. sure if no kitters are playing with you and just a lot of builders who don't know how to use the free kits yeah you can make over 50k+/hour but that rarely happens and it doesn't last long. Plus as @Digger0208 says it takes concentration and skill to be good at sg which is not what you need for star tools.
-1 whoever is claiming +1 has never sgd before. First off of someone is making 60k an hour they have to win 80% of the games they play and everyone else gets fked over without money. With mining everyone makes a steady supply of money.
Well, people are saying you need 2mil+ in kits, I have miq, pf, bfr, and spyp and I can make a good 30k/hour off sg. People are saying it's all numbers with sg, kits aren't a auto win in sg. There is also some skill involved in there to. -1
I didn't really explain my previous comment much. I disagree with SG as a whole. We are not a minigames server, we are an economy server. As a server that is approaching 6+ years in uptime, we need to somewhat go with the inflation, or try prevent it. The end update, is going with the inflation. Why do we allow the PvP methods of making cash, to make more? It's simply unfair to those who want to play this economy server for its sole reason, to make money, but cannot pvp. We are an economy server, not a PvP server or a minigames server.
Why not be economy, pvp, and minigames? ECC is trying to expand its horizons, and while I'm not a very big supporter of PVP, minigames can be very beneficial to ECC as in bringing players to the server. Economy is just the main part of the server. There's a reason we have a hub. ECC is all about fun, and just happens to focus on economics.
The reason we have a hub; is because ECC wants to become a network. If they put the SG on a completely different server, that's fine by me. Also; when SG was introduced, there was big requests for other minigames to be added, yet they didn't add them since, 'We do not want to become a minigames server.'
And we won't. ECC is an economy, I already said, we just want to add minigames because they're fun and are beneficial both to the economy and the server. SG will not go on a different server, nor does it need to. There's already plans for it to simply be accessible by the hub and not be in the spawn from what I understand. Yes ECC wants to be a network, but that network is economy, sg, and minigames from my understanding, and there is absolutely no problem with that. Let's not digress further, shall we?
If SG is accessible by hub and not in spawn; it will be on a different server. Furthermore; Why would they want to become known for SG if it so 'dead' all the time? If you can't make the money we claim we make? No point priding ourselves for a 'dead' gamemode. Yes, I do play SG, but that is because it is the easiest way to make money. If I could I would have SG removed. I respect your opinion Shane, and clearly we differ.
Because to make a lot of money with SG you have to deny 10-20 people their money. SG has only 1 winner, but lots of participants. 1 person gets almost all the money, and the rest gets almost nothing, if anything at all. When you make 30k an hour as a top SGer, that means you deprived another few people their money. You make 30k an hour, and others make almost nothing because of you. So in reality only a few K per person gets inserted into the economy. If all those people were to farm or mine a lot more money would be inserted into the economy. It's not equal to farming or mining, because it can't be compared. Farming and mining do not affect other people's income. SG does.
I see where you are coming from, but even from the $300 per kill, it is possible to make 8-10k/hr even if you don't win any games.
Not to be a smart alec, but when mining worlds are nearing their end it can be pretty difficult to find ores which in turn affects your income. However I do agree that if 20 participants each made the same amount from sg-ing and the 40k was spread out evenly, everyone would make 2k/hour which nobody would turn their head at. Since one person is getting most of the money it just seems ludicrous to people whereas the amount added into the economy is reasonable.
Most people won't make much more than 20k an hour, and even the best people won't make much more than 30k an hour. Like, I'm not saying triple the profit wasn't overkill. But since nobody actually plays SG much it's hardly a consistent form of income.
Again, I see where you are coming from, yet you do not need kits to average one kill per game. Is it really fair that people are spending 900k-1mil for a melon sword to make 15k/hr consistently, where you can pay $0 and make 10k/hr?
I retract all my previous statements. I did math, and anyone could play 1v1 SG matches for an hour, kill each other within 30 seconds after grace period, and make ~40k an hour. (split by 2 is 20k an hour. But no kits or anything is required for 1v1 pvp) Not even boosting or anything. I account for actual combat. If you were boosting that amount would more than double, lol. While it's possible others will join, it won't impact that amount much. It's clearly too high. NERF SG!
