I want to download Rei's Minimap for 1.6.2 (That is the one that's allowed, right?) but all the YouTube tutorials are useless. They're either for an older version or in German. So I was wondering if someone could help me out by giving me a step by step guide or make a video which would be easier. Don't spare any detail as I've never downloaded a mod before and I'm not very good at these things. Thanks!

download http://files.minecraftforge.net/minecraftforge/minecraftforge-installer-1.6.2-9.10.0.804.jar
start it and install forge.
Then download rei's minimap for 1.6.2 and move it to your .minecraft/mods/ folder -

I don't have a mods folder in my .minecraft. Is that going to be a problem?
