I recently purchased another Star Tool. This took time and discussions with some of my friends and "friends" on ECC. I asked several folks what they thought a Star Rod was worth. Some said that it was worth an amount = to the price on the number of nether stars needed to buy it in the Star Shop. I disagree with this. Star Rods in particular are not very efficient ways to make money on ECC. Stars, at the time that I purchased this rod, were worth roughly $500 each making the rod worth $750000 given the value recommendation. I believe that Star Rod fishing makes roughly $8,000/hr. That is 93.75 hours of straight fishing just to pay it off!
An Eff7 would be valued at $1,000,000.00 with the same recommendation. Eff7 mining makes $20,000/hr. That is only 50 hours of use to pay for itself. This means the valuation of a Star Rod should not come close to the Eff7 value. I realize that one reason folks like Star Rods is the ease of use, but the limitations should still have an effect on the price.
Here is what I am wondering. What do you all value your star tools at? You can follow this format:
Melon Sword- $1,000,000
Eff7- $1,200,000
Star Rod- $680,000
Star Axe- $500,000
Star Shovel- $500,000
Star Armor- $0.00
Thank you for your input!

Actual value and what people will sell for are two different things.
I will buy any Star Armor off anyone for free if you go buy people selling at the value price rather then what people would sell it for :p
People tend to go off of the nstar market price because its essentially how much someone originally paid for it :p
Hence why many people buy eff7's and melon swords with their stars.
Meaning demand for Rods and Axes are slightly higher because no one has them to sell.
Making there value higher also,
So it all really balances itself out at roughly the price of nstars :p
Melon Sword - 1 Million
Eff7 - 750k
Star Axe - 750k
Star Shovel - 750k
Star Rod - 750k
Star Armor - amount of nstars x 500-

Well, I bought my Melon Sword for $100k originally! #notforsale
I do not own star armor and see no value in it. It looks the same as pro IV and since I have Fly, Pyro+, water+, and the like, I cannot die.
Also, is the price for an Eff7 2000 stars in the star shop or is it only 1500? If it's only 1500 then that is, far and away the best star tool!-

Melon Sword- 950,000
Eff7- 800,000
Star Rod- 640,000
Star Axe- 700,000
Star Shovel- 700,000
Star Armor- 450,000 -
Melon sword - 1.1M (cuz 2k nstars)
Eff7 - 850k+ (cuz fastest $$/hr star tool)
Others are for pride and convenience of rich ppl only. No money-making power to speak of. Only possible exception *might* be star sword with triple+ cave spider spawners.
My 2 cents:
The best money-making tool hands-down is an eff5-unb3 axe. Use it to treefeller jungle trees and build a cocoa farm. Thats the absolute fastest money-making farming/mining method. Slightly better than eff7, a good bit better than melon sword, and gobs better than other "star" tools.
Tl;Dr: eff7 best star tool. Cocoa best money -

With any item there will be a range of prices that people will pay/charge for the transaction.
Take Diamonds as an easy example.
The server price is $25, and many diamonds get sold to the server for that price. Last time I was buying diamonds, I was giving $26.5 ea and people sold them to me at that price. I was selling at $27 and now $28. I sold many at both price points. You might be able to convince a newer player to sell them to you for less than the server price, and I have seen shops selling them for $30. So, the range in prices is $24-$30. With star tools it will be the same but on a higher scale. Thanks for the input everyone!
