Im just too lazy, but as always ike makes me lol again! Unfortunately all your doing here is making something out of nothing. I have been trolled and insulted by several residents and builders. Honestly I just laugh and ignore it and in the end see them begging for money a month later. What I will say is that the dynamics and basic concept of this server have changed. Back when I and several other current presidents join many months back the whole point was to rank up, own land, and become the highest ranks possible. I became a resident in 2 days, a mayor 2 weeks later, and within a month a president. I now own 4 towns and have very solid relationships with several ecc users. I am proud of my accomplishments and will continue to work hard to get further. After reading through this post, again I see users who have been on the server for some time and have no desire to be anything more then what they are. What you dont realize is that the whole point of an ecconomy server is to have a community that contributes to well..., the economy. If you have no ambition to doing anything other then resident, why are you here?? As far as the "rankist" idea goes. Sure whatever, but I would advise all builders and residents to work twords becomming more. I believe you will find it both rewarding and worth the effort.
@ajp79 You sir, are wrong in my opinion. Maybe i dont want to go throught the hassle of finding land thats not a huge mountain. Maybe I dont want to have to file grief reports 24/7, or maybe i dont want a huge farm to make money and do nothing with it exept snipe the lotto. The only way I would get mayor is if it was private for my friends or if i had a comayor who wants to do the grief reports and sell plots. I am fine with being a resident, and do not have a strong desire to become a mayor. I like to have my house in a town, and have fun on the server, and not farm the whole day wasting my life. Im proud to be a resident, and dont know if i want to change that anytime soon. Your argument is invalid
I am, I sold 65 diamond blocks to nradke22, he got a decent deal, but I got lots free from LWC, anyway, from those 65 blocks I got about 55k. Plus he bought iron, and gold. From there I got some small donations, then a large load on 16k... it possible, and I was motivated before I got the 55k from nradke22, but I couldn't do it lol. Keep trying, you will eventually get it
Much as I like ike's take that tycoon is the new president I am not shelling out funds for something that just gives a special name, at least with Prez I got more lwc or something. I would of stayed mayor too if some people hadn't tried to turn the land around my original town into a builder shanty paradise. For people bothered by new players, most know, /leave *insert channel here* is your friend. Greatest perk of being a donator is leaving channels.
You can easily find good land in a matter of minutes. It's called the live map and asking a mod to tp to co-ords. If you make a GOOD Residents+ town, you will never or almost never have to post greif reports... Greif reports 24/7? Most ignorant statement IMO. You don't have to make a farm, he was talking about making a town. Again, you shouldn't expect a comayor to "have to do greif reports and sell plots" because as long as you make a good quality town, you won't have any problems. I've owned towns for close to a year, and I've had to do 5 or less greif reports. (approximately) In my opinion, the point of being on the server should be to advance in ranks and actually continue to contribute and develop, not sit around as a resident and build on plots.
Fact: I made 180k in 5 hours today. I spent literally less than 24 hours at mayor before I put my president application in. But my number one goal is to have fun. I spent 2 months at resident when I easily could be mayor because its fun. There's nothing wrong with that.
I support this wholeheartedly, however speaking for myself, I tend to trust residents+ more. My reasoning is that when someone first joins, they don't know all the rules. I mean i don't join a server and think, oh I should read the rules for 20 minutes. Lets admit it, when we put in our res/mayor/pres apps and say yes to the did we read the rule question, 1/2 of us don't read the rules, we just pick them up as we play. I also think that res+ have put more effort into the game and are less likely to scam because they have invested much time into the game. I know myself as a president wouldn't want to lose all my hard work. This is just my opinion.
Im in and also to add when there was just donators what do you think they all said finally we dont have to worry about all the newbie builders spamming.
I don't trust a builder in the least bit. I'll help them out, direct them where to go to start mining, answer questions, etc... but you won't have a plot in my town until you are at least Resident. I've been screwed over by many builders, so sadly the saying that should be inserted here is " one person (builder) ruined it for everyone else". BUILDERS SHOULD NOT BE TRUSTED. The End.
...I'm kinda surprised nobody has mentioned that Orkin only hires residents and above to work on his farm...
when i first joined someone gave me 500$ then i bought armor then i went into the wild mining dirt to get money and was the biggest noob u could see even not knowng how to change channels
i was res for more then 7 months then someone gave me 20k and donated for people then got 20k more in loans
New people tend to know less and are known more as strangers. I don't trust strangers. Stop trying to make some inspirational movement because it only creates a two-sided flame war and there's already enough bickering as it is on the server. ALSO MICEATTACK, I see it got you to become a resident so my advertisements do work. Some users don't immediate flame me for not hiring builders, like D4NTE_3. He worked to become a resident just to prove to me that I could trust him and I appreciate that type of motivation people have to achieve a goal.
