    Quick question,

If I claim a town, file an LWC report, and then end up with an enchanted tool that is /own'd, is there any way I can have the /own removed from the tool (i.e. contacting a serveradmin+) or will this breach the rules?

    Thanks,

    Phanto

We do not remove ownership from tools that were obtained in LWCs.

To my knowledge, the tool may be sold to other players - however, they need to be informed that the tool has somebody's /own on it since the listed owner can always request its current user to give it back to them.

(Nicit or any other nub with more knowledge than Pi may correct me if I am wrong. ^_^)

314 is correct. In my experience, I was able to fence them at 100% of an unowned tools value. Pricing depends on how fast you need them to sell; you can lower it, if you are feeling wary. I had no trouble selling any tools owned by other players and no complaints that the tools were requested back by said players. I currently use a max silk pick owned by another player, that I received months ago.
