As I am getting close to purchasing Mayor, I have been planning my town and have come up with an idea that I would like some opinions on. I plan to have an arena for PvP tournaments, team fights, capture the flag, parkour tournaments, etc. My question is, if I were to have such an arena, and were to hold events with monetary prizes would I have many people wanting to participate? I plan to have an arena that can be changed to my needs, I just need to know if I build it, will they come?

 

Well, I can't hold a tournament with only one participant. :p

 

Well, would all these pvpers be willing to pay an entree fee? I could hold different tiered tourneys such as, 1k fee, 5k fee, 10k fee, and so on, the team ones would have a larger fee, but lets say if I hold a tournament with the entry fee being 10k, and 10 people signed up and entered the winning purse would be 50k with 20k going to 2nd and 10k going to 3rd, or I could hold a team tournament where the teams would be 5 members, and the entry fee would be 25k, and if I had 10 teams enter, the winning team would get 100k, 2nd getting 60k, and 3rd getting 40k. I mean does this sound good at all?

 

I would probably, do a couple free tournaments at the beginning with really high rewards like 500k or so just to get more notice, I'm even thinking of doing a $1,000,000 contest for the best arena design in the future (6 months when I'm back from basic and tech training)
